But we hope that we get it out earlier, since we have such a great and coordinated tester team that helps us out!

Probably june since by what i have noticed they always release it the latest date possible

A question: how many 'old planets' will be used for TC part 2 blueprints? It will have new map or it will be the same map but modified in all aspects??

Is it possible to announce Part 2 about 2 weeks in advance to the release? That way you have more time to combat bigger bugs which occur "last" second like last time :mrorange:
Also much easier for us to plan ahead for the release

Another question for Highway : Do these generators bellow have use for some kind of energy supply? Will we have a mission to destroy / use their energy for some purpose?


I'm excited that we will be able see new story soon! About Barrossa whose base we destroyed in Showdown at Venar mission , i'd like to see how he will react in next part.

We already have pictures of the ships in the beginning of the Tau Ceti Part 2 Dev shack , i think its more than what they shown in Tau Ceti 1, also we know how the new skills will be and also how they work, we didnt have any clue in Tau 1

It'd be good to see some video how those new ships move on new planet like for venar part 1 teaser. Because we've seen current new ships just from one angle.

Hey Everyone, its devshack time ^^

First off I am sorry that we are about to get delayed for TC Part 2. We underestimated how much effort seasonal/anniversary events for the games still takes, especially when you have a lot of stuff in the works. Most of the remaining tasks to finish TC Part 2 will be done by the same hand that also works on the events.

That said, you will get the previous Spaceball event in June together with global boosters for the ones that already finished the rewards of the event to reduce further delay and to fill the gap.

But there is a good side to this, because other team member are soon free to improve other aspects of Pirate Galaxy that was not initially planned for this update. So the obvious choice would be to bring forward adjustments for the Conquest System, since we will add a new Conquest planet to Tau Ceti. Here some bullet points for it



Conquest Adjustments

• Cryonite as Reward
• Dynamic Team sizes
• No Cryonite loss
• Changed Conquest Mechanics
• ...

We hope we can bring back the old glory to the Conquest and more players will join the fight. Especially since it will be an alternative to get cryonite besides farming.

The first screenshot is obviously from Earth. By the way the new planet will be the CQ planet, every content from TC part 2 will be on existing planets. No new story planet will be introduced before TC part 3. It's all in this thread.

Yes but it is still possible they could send screenshots from further parts of tau ceti as in the sirius adjustment dev shack, they have sent us a screen shot of a red colored tau ceti ship that hasn't been introduced in part 1 or part 2 yet.

Nice!! This is the necessary to make the CQs atractive again! :mrorange:

How will be the conquest mechanics changes?
What will be the minimum and maximum size of the teams?
You will restrict the use of gravitons?
When you say cryonite as reward, I think you say something like only will receive prizes the pilots who participe. Or it will be x% cryo boost for all the fleet like in the past?
You leaved an "..." so it will mean you have more features planned to it :mrorange:

Awsome news! Those CQ changes will be very good im happy that u guys are listening to ur playerbase more often for improve the game to the next lvl ^^.
Also my guess is that 1st ss shows us the "Magnet Array" (the turret in front of shysis) and 2nd ss shows the "Formation Shield" (Can see a green chain in 1 of the ships connected to 2 other ships) and that the pirates ancients and mantis are coexisting.
Keep on the good work Highway and the rest of dev team till now this all looks very good/awsome, cant wait for its release!

P.S: Can u do a teaser like for part. Would love to see one. Also would like to know if u will keep venar for spaceball event and now it wont be that ez to do it there?
