ahmmm, do u think that all people in calon spent hundreds of gravitons to reach there? i dont think so, its true that in some missions a pack of graviton is helpful, but thats it and u can still do this, i only saw feeew players spamming gravs each 5 minutes while doing SMs :unsure:

No, I'm not using Calon tech I was just using the Kodiak as an example! I did this with mostly modal/perceptron tech. One thing you're all not mentioning is probably the dependency on gravitons in the missions not one player I have seen in these missions survive without being forced to deploy multiple gravitons. And that second to last calon mission is definitely going to be frustrating in this update.
About Triangulation Trap, very many people done it with obsidians or any kind of ships. It does not matter what ship you use as long your OC does the job ahead. Your only job is to focus and not get out of area of the Swarm, in case if Sky OS falls you can use one yellow graviton that you should at least have. It's more rare to happen, but most of times no Sky OSes fell on players disrupting their mission too much.

About Battle for Earth, you do need some OC at Ancient Relay spot to not bother with those yourselves. One engineer stays away and keeps Helena and Falcon (Ivanova) alive, while rest of the squadron do the mission. Useful thing if you have no membership, is to blaster Giza and slowly lure it to Energy field, making it part-time refill. With current Energy cap 3x increase, there shouldn't be problem with killing Giza even at Lord Fam Doom center area.
One more question, do you use Specialist allies in the mission? If you don't, of course it would be harder. Scan them in the village, and go to the parts where you can teleport up the mountain making it great help in destroying mission Ancients r93.

I have actually already completed all of the earth missions but was knowing it would be less fair for people who have not yet completed earth unrest missions. The update has been reverted back to where it should be now and it's a lot easier now

Do you remember how small we all started?😁 the Story was initially about Pirates and Smuggling. Then the main Story started... And then came the Mantis and the Imperial units and their History. It became interesting when you had to search for the old Artifact and put it together!! That was a good time... V,A,G,M,S,D ... Wormhole !! BOOMM !! Sirius system!! A Starsystem that does not want to end and is only overwhelmed by blueprints. Do we need them? Sirius bps? Yes! Low System bps? Who knows.. (by the way, I feel a little sorry for the gold blueprints. I think they are still cooler then ancient stuff 😜)

Important point - Unfortunately we do not know much about Sirius, the "stories" in r1-4 really tell us nothing. Nothing. In my opinion there should be a connection to Tau Ceti, at least Vènar. In addition to the stories FOR Tau Ceti, there were indications of where the Ancients flee through the star gate. It was not Vènar, cuz there was only Pirates and later on Mantis. There were no signs of the Ancients in Vènar. It wasn't Earth (in unrest) either. It was Calon, cuz the Mantis, Pirates and Ancients are fighting each other and thats the only planet we could never explore and the only possible planet where the Ancients flee. I think the Ancients are brainwashed by the Mantis in Earth (in unrest) or in Sirius. Thats explain the Storys for me in Calon. I dont think that the Ancients are our enemy yet. We'll see what Part 4 looks like and who is really our enemy in Sirius/Tau Ceti 😁

That isn´t really true. Considering the storyline of Venar
and if my brain serves me right during the SM "Wolf in Sheep´s clothing" the ambassador confirms that Ancient Tech is at Venar (even if no Ancient units are on the planet) and from the rest of the story that tech "seems to be underground" what would indicate to ancients that either did reside at Venar a very long time ago and over time got covered by nature and are now "fossils" or Ancient ships that crashed at Venar at some point way earlier before Raiders and Methas have arrived.

Another thing is that during the same mission we get this screwed mission update during the defence of "Meth Base Area 51" (nice pun here Split) that at Sol 3 (aka Earth) some facility is beeing reactivated what in reverse means that the Ancients have been at Earth way before humanity came into existence. Sadly after that this "facility" never showed up again in the storyline of EiU so it´s unknown what exactly it did when it fully started.

EiU on the other hand doesn´t really provide any info about the Ancients cus most of the story missions are just about the evacuation of the remaining civilians at Earth and Mars (somehow Moon was completly left out or i forgot some mission info here) due of the sudden attack of the Ancients and how they wiped out nearly everything without an problem.

The only mission that really did give some "Ancient connection" was Triangulation Trap, Catch him if you can and Battle for Earth but at the same time not really explained everything. All we do get as information during Battle for Earth is from Rosebud that the Mantis hijacked Ancient Tech and that was it.

In terms of Calons story i´m still at it (2nd mission atm) so i will have to see what Calons story is building up to to get an clear picture of the TC Line at the current stage.

I really enjoyed Calon Story.. It goes deep in to the history about the Ancients and what happened to them. Which Server you playing Vesperion? I'm on Korell

Hello Vesperion,

That has been that way for long time for normal users ,where they can only edit for 10 minutes after of the creation of the post. Im gonna turn your explanation into a Spoiler if its alright for you . I have to say you maybe also missed some interesting story in both planets :cheeky:

Well if the mission still wouldn´t clear itself after it´s done i would have more time to read and understand it afterwards (as i always did) cus during the mission i need to focus on the mission and their objective so i don´t really know the "story" of that mission lol.

For the moment i have only the parts in my head that had some more interesting bits while the rest of most tc missions felt like not really contribute at all to the buildup... but again thx to the autocleaning when mission is done i have no chance to see the briefings again to get a gist of what just was going on lol.

I want to bring up one of the main themes of this thread with some questions about the new CQ system.

Here we go:

1) Is planned that each clan will have their landing zone? or the landing zones will stay as ever?

2) The limit for a conquest will remain 25 vs 25 as maximum possible? or it will be higher if both clans have more players?

3) I know you have working in another aspects for PG and also you are working on DS, but I want to ask anyway: Do you had any advance of the CQ system since kyosarc left the team? Is it still far delayed?

If is the case that the CQ rework will late until 2021... I want to suggest some changes that I hope it will not be complex to do and will make the current CQ system more interesting:

Try to add the enlist phase that would start 60 minutes and would end 5 minutes before the conquest start. With a minimum of 10 pilots from clan/alliance to participate (if the clan have less than 10, it will fight with desventage or directly lose the conquest and it ends).

increase the clan gravitons reward for conquest up to 60 from 20... 20 is too small if we compare the gravitons used and effort to win. (And maybe also give 20 gravitons for the clan that lose the conquest). This point have the goal of encourage to more clans to fight conquests with the current system.

Nice idea gonzaabel , At least here in Aurora only 2-3 Alliances wants to fight in actual Conquest System , and the other ones do not Because they always spend more Gravitons than what they get in return even with the new PVP Cooldown System , it would be nice to make the Clan Graviton Reward , Just my humble opinion.

I agree for minimum members that should enter the conquest. But I do not agree it should be at least 10, but at least 5 members. With 5 members you can have a decent fight and some fun, while clans may not have 10 online, which makes it harder currently. So minimum for any clan size is 5 members.

I would agree to Rajaa's idea with a minimum of 5 players.
I disagree tho for instantly losing when the number of players drops too low. Imagine someone just has connection problems and a conquest ends because it was registered that there aren't enough players to start or after start on surface.

Maybe you guys won't agree with that, but I think the mechanic of conquering a CQ-planet without a conquest fight doesn't need to be in the game and also not give warscore, gravitons and (after cq-rework) cryonite.

Should Vega conquests generate equally warscore as higher system CQs? (after Sol the warscore for each kill gained is just nuts) This question is always on my mind. What do you think?

Hmm I don't think that the current CQ is prepared for 5 vs 5 fights... Because along the conquest, minimum 2 areas gives most points and minimun you must have 1 pilot on each one, having more points to take and needing people to attack these areas while try to keep other areas that gives 1~3 points. And I thought a limit of 10 vs 10 because on Aurora & Gaia is very possible to gather minimum 10 pilots from clan & alliance (at least in my alliance we got more than 25 people that waited to fight along this week on two conquest we made). But I don't know how difficult it is on other servers, considering that the alliance will help for now until the new CQ system arrives (that it will be prepared for a 5vs5 match).

I said that as two possibilities, and I think the better of it is to fight instead of ends CQ before start due of lack of people. But the enemy clan will have 10 people to fight against you.

The goal of the enlist phase is to make fair battles (like it is planned for the rework) starting for 10 vs 10 and up to 25 vs 25. But it will not have problems if you want to fight having less of 10 pilots vs 10 from the enemies.
At least we on Aurora had a conquest on Valkion the past year, being 8 people versus ~18 and we take adventage of the enemy errors and we losed the conquest but letting them with 20~40 log files left. So the strategy is still being important a lot.
And obviously if you only have 4 people or less vs 10, it is impossible to win because the current CQ gameplay. So I think that not make sense to start a conquest if you cant enlist minimum 5 pilots from clan and alliance.

The problem here is that you spend 100 log files to participate. The workaround here would be that if only one clan pay the tax, get the 100 log files back and no reward...

Hmm I think it is good as it is right now.
With the rework, the warpoints will be based depending the ore obtained during the conquest.

1. The landing zones will stay as they are currently. It will also not have a big impact as you only land once it it or materialize in it as a last resort respawn option apart from the CQ ship or your squad leader.

2. The 25 players will be the initial limit but it might get an increase as clans can have more members than 25 players. But 25 will be a good start and we then can see if it needs an increase. Because the teamsize is flexible this is an easy change.

3. Yeah we are really far from our inital schedule :confused:. Currently DS requires more coding work and the new coder is not yet up to speed to fully jump into the conquest rework. We did not progress that much when kyosarc left. We just code the changes to bring them earlier like the graviton cooldown and the other competitive game mode fairness changes. CQ ist about 60% complete but it still takes a good chunk of work. Hard to give an estimate on it on how long it takes to get it ready for the public test phase.

I rarely follow the CQs tbh but i think in many CQs it´s hard to find the 25 members on both sides(?) up to the point where 1 side is dominating and the other "just leaves" the CQ before it even starts.

Aside from that wasn´t it said that with the new CQ system Ally Pilots can´t be used for the CQ anymore due of the registration? Cus from my current information i did read about the planed Changes Alliances seem to become pretty "obsolete" when the CQ rework update will drop what may result in fusing the active members of the clans into 1 single clan to have them "all under one banner".
