The first tau Ceti item will require only the base ancient item. For the next ones you need the base + a variant. Let me give you a brief example:

Tau Ceti Blaster Lvl85 =Tau Ceti Blaster Lvl85 BP + Sirius Ancient Blaster BP
Tau Ceti Blaster lvl89 = Tau Ceti Blaster lvl89 BP + Sirius Ancient Blaster BP + Sirius Ancient Rapid Blaster BP
Tau Ceti Blaster lvl91 = Tau Ceti Blaster lvl91 BP + Sirius Ancient Blaster BP + Sirius Ancient Strong Blaster BP

... and so on.

I guess that players will spend 95% of the time in Sirius anyway because of that insane crafting system and people who get the tech won't be able to fly in Sirius so... I guess that TC tech will be just expensive thing for Mantis Hive grinding unless there will be heavy effort penalty for using the tech then it will be useless. There will be no gold BPs in part 1 anyway and looking at these crazy requirements I guess that gold BP will need all ancient variants + all r1-r4 tech. Devs want to make gameplay as long as possible for smallest effort possible by just prolonging Sirius RNG grinding and disallowing TC tech to enter it. It's a shame. I won't even touch the game when update is released in a form like that. By looking at how little time they spend for creating TC I guess that it's really close before they close the servers or announce the end of development of the game. Just remember how fast they created Sol system and it was full of interesting locations, many missions, new enemies and it was really balanced. Creating Sirius wasn't even 1/4 of this effort because it relies on reusing old content and few boring maps in repeatable "procedural" loop. And now we've waited few years for half of TC planet and content that will be relying completely on Sirius anyway. Devs just want to keep people paying for memberships until remaining players quit so they can safely close the game without huge backlash from players. The fact that they are making game for new players harder and harder just confirms it, devs don't want new players here. TC will be the last system unless SplitScreen Studios sells the game to someone more competent.

You said we have the ability to replay the missions from part 1 and 2. Does this mean the first half of the venar map stays this way?

Developers, are you planning any more updates about pvp ?
Recently people are not encouraged to go red, CQ is also rarely.
I got an idea:
What if you make that whoever lands on certain planet(example TC planet) with precious resources or even on r5 automatically gets pirate mode activated?
Many RPG game has certain map where anyone who enters can be attacked by other players, it makes gaming more fun and exciting.
After all, name of game is P I R A T E galaxy, not farm galaxy or collection galaxy )
Now good sides of this :
1) Daily routine will be changed for bored and tired players who does nothing but grinding and it will entertain players who already finished the game and has nothing to do but wait for updates.
2) I am pretty sure this will bring some pvp lover players back who quit game and it will keep pvp lover players in game because nowadays almost none goes red and there is nothing for us to do :D
3) Also on other way it will keep game alive, if there is more pvp, more memberships, gravs and cry vaults will be bought :)
Note that none is going to get ''bullied'' , firstly everyone can get covered by his clan and alliance or find one if he is lonely. Also, as I said it must be done in sirius or TC where developed and skilled players will face each other , so it will not bother newbies.
Game really needs something new fun, people are bored and leaving..

honestly if this is done on r5, I and i'm sure plenty of other players will just simply stop playing the game all together. its hard enough spawning and killing a soris without other sq's taking effort off you, let alone someone coming to kill you all because you are red then take all your hard work, stopping you from getting the bps you need, which will KILL the pve side of the game. You cant FORCE people to go red just because they landed on a planet that you have no choice to land on to progress in the game. I have no problem with planets that are not story planets in other systems being red only, but just Leave Sirius alone.

It's like this in many RPG games. Its like this in dark orbit but people still play..
imo problem are PG pilots who dont want challenge and prefer pointless npc killing 24/7.. why you think you would be alone vs squads ? every clan would help its members and every alliance would help their clans.
but most of you prefer fighting bots than trying real challenge vs other players
after all its view of pilot. if pilot likes some challenge and adrenaline he would happily meet this update :)
and pls dont talk with me about CQ's which is once century or colossus which is not everyday (it has to be).
so people who likes pvp and challenge has to watch others who does nothing but endless grinding and has not guts to go red ever ?
now PG is like 95% or more pve and rest pvp. pvp gives nothing almost, just fun. and as result none goes red for just fun.
if you dont like my idea, they should at least colossus open all time or add more pvp planets, or give us
rewards from podding pilots, or from cq , or reward from higher bounty, or more reward from colossus? there is so many ideas so Highway please have a look, not only farmers play PG, fighters also do :)

My personal Feedback:

--> In my opinion this system seems to be very fair towards players that are (nearly) finished with their bp collection.

--> Players with a selective bp collection may be feeling a bit grumpy, as they maybe will get some more work to catch up with in Sirius, but with new Sirius Mechanic there wont be a long time of delay to somebody who needs one special bp.

--> All in all I like what I read and I am looking forward to further Information.

Suggestions:

--> What i would like very much about the mechanic would be, if it increases the needed bps from Tier 1 to n. So you will get a nice slope of difficulty in crafting Tau Ceti blueprints. So for Tier 3 you will need 3 Ancient items and for tier 4 corresponding 4 and so on.

--> For higher Tiers, blueprints from lower systems could be introduced too as they are available at all time.
For example lets say for Tier 5 blaster you need 4 Ancient blasters + 1 blue blaster from Draconis. This would deflate the difficulty a bit, so this system I suggested doesnt end in frustrating players getting stuck between too many frontiers of Bp search.
I disagree on your first part, reason: not everyone started in 2009 or 2012, not everyone has 1 account only and not everyone cared for crappy BPs, since skipping to siri tech was more interesting. we were not informed that we might need all bps one day. and today I am still unsure if we do.A lot of players/clans are doing just that atm, going back to R1 and finish all bps then move to next. Now it may still change or already did change so all that efford is for nothing again.

I really think devs need to give us a full list about what bps are going to be needed for TC total, not part x and y, or shut up about it and surprise us with good or bad news on it. and ofc some with be in advantage while other won't.

This bp decrypting system is plain ludicrous because of how ridiculously long it takes for bps for DIFFERENT variants of some tech to show up,for example it takes months for a sirius speed actuator to show up on r5,let alone ALL THREE of them,its as if this game is about waiting,where is all the excitement? and before you tell me pvp,nothing has happened to make that popular.I really dont think players play games so they can wait months before they can progress and build up their ships and characters.Some players told me they waited years to get some ancient ships on r5.Now us players can close one eye about how long and tedious it is to collect these bps if we had hunting made easier(lower energy consumption,buffed tech,less clanmissions to go around sirius with,no clan cooldowns,incrased bp drop rate.increase the frequency of which some bps show up in sirius so players dont wait months, and so on)some of us may even prefer this decrytion system if you implement that,but there has been no hint so far.

Nut sure if the question was already mentioned but will the Sirius System get easier witht the release of TC?
Imo it's unsuitable for new players or those who decide to fly on their own to get all the bp's to get TC Tech.

For TC I still got some questions I wonder about:

1: What difficulty Tau Ceti gonna get? Will it be similar to Draconis or will the difficulty level get further increased as what mostly happened with each new system?

2: Other thing I wonder is if planets in Tau Ceti get new music themes when on surface flying around + combat mode? :)

You said that there will be a new challenge planet, have you planned a new cortex part? If you have, is there any to say about the power of it?

It would be cool to have sertain planetes that got nothing to do with storymissions or blueprint collection, to have them be only available for ppl in pirate mode. Just like colossus when u enter the planete you are red. On the planete you have mantis and other kinds of enemies that provide more cry then regular planetes.

Risk/reward. More rewarding mantis drops but the risk of being attacked by red players. Maybe something for the future updates

Nice idea as well , we certainly need pvp more rewarding to get more people red and to get some fun in game, PG has been almost like mostly pve game, if you make it with good pvp features as well, you get more people at party :)
Many ideas to think about... pvp planets, r5 or teu ceti with pirate mode on, cry drop from players or just cry reward and gravi from podding someone, great reward from CQ, or even giving people some pvp tittles and ranks from podding others (thats not my idea tho).

Im großen und ganzen finde ich die Neuigkeiten zu Tau Ceti sehr gut, bis auf das Bauplanabhängigkeitssystem. Was mir komisch vorkommt ist die Tatsache, dass Highway das sogenannte „Bauplanabhängigkeitssystem“ als Belohnung für uns Spieler verkaufen möchte, die schon von Anfang an die Baupläne in Sirius erbeutet haben. Wie bereits zuvor im Forum von anderen Spielern erwähnt frage ich mich auch, warum nur die Sirius ancient, schnelle und starke Bauplanreihen berücksichtigt werden und nicht die anderen Baupläne von Olyte bis Kenyte.

Außerdem finde ich, dass wenn man mit der Veröffentlichung von Tau Ceti ein Bauplanabhänhigkeitssystem einführen möchte, dann sollte es fairerweise von Vega bis Tau Ceti durchgeführt werden, damit die Spieler von Vega bis Tau Ceti nicht durchgezogen werden können.

Hier zwei Beispiele, wie ich mir das Bauplanabhängigkeitssystem in Vega und Sol vorstelle:

Verbesserter Zwillings-Ionenblaster Lv 12 = vervollständigter Zwillings-Ionenblaster Lv 10
Ionen-Sturmblaster Lv 15 = vervollständigter Verbesserter Zwillings-Ionenblaster Lv 12 + Zwillings-Ionenblaster Lv 10

AM Gammaspitzenblaster Lv 58 = vervollständigter AM Flammenblaster Lv 50
AM Krümmungs-Blaster Lv 60 = vervollständigter AM Gammastoßblaster Lv 55 + AM Gammaspitzenblaster Lv 58

Warum soll es erforderlich sein, um die seltenen Tau Ceti Baupläne verwenden zu können an Sirius ancient Baupläne zu knüpfen? Nur weil es keine Sirius ancient Baupläne für Tau Ceti gibt muss man noch lange nicht die seltenen Tau Ceti Baupläne daran verknüpfen um sie verwenden zu dürfen. Auf dem Korell Spielserver wurder Sirius lange von Gms als ein „Raidsystem“ angepriesen bzw. verkauft, dann sollte man es auch dabei belassen und nicht auf einmal versuchen die Spieler dazu zu zwingen so viel wie möglich in Sirius vervollständigt zu haben.

Ein weiter Vorschlag um zu verhindern, dass die Spieler zu schnell die einzelnen Sternensysteme durchwandern, wäre eine Verknüpfung an die „weißen Missionen“, die erledigt werden müssen um das nächsthöhere Sternensystem betreten zu können.

Z.B. muss eine bestimmte Anzahl an „weißen Missionen“ im vorherigen Sternensystem abgeschlossen werden um in das nächsthöhere Sternensystem zu gelangen oder man muss eine bestimmte Anzahl an „weißen Missionen“ abgeschlossen haben, um bestimmte Storymissionen annehmen zu dürfen.

Ich gebe es offen zu, dass ich kein Freund von dem „Bauplanabhängigkeitssystem“ bin, aber es gibt auch andere Möglichkeiten um eine Begrenzung einzubauen.

Englische Übersetzung:

On the whole I find the news about Tau Ceti very good, except for the blueprint dependency system. What seems strange to me is the fact that Highway wants to sell the so-called "Blueprint Dependency System" as a reward for us players who have already captured the blueprints in Sirius from the outset. As mentioned earlier in the Forum by other players, I also wonder why only the Sirius ancient, fast and strong construction plans are taken into account and not the other blueprints from Olyte to Kenyte.

I also think that if you want to introduce a Bauplanabhänhigkeitssystem with the release of Tau Ceti, then it should be done fairly from Vega to Tau Ceti, so that the players from Vega to Tau Ceti cannot be pulled through.

Here are two examples of how I imagine the construction plan dependency system in Vega and Sol:

Improved twin Ionenblaster LV 12 = completed twin Ionenblaster LV 10
Ion Sturmblaster LV 15 = completed enhanced twin Ionenblaster LV 12 + twin Ionenblaster LV 10

Am Gammaspitzenblaster LV 58 = completed on Flammenblaster LV 50
AM Curvature Blaster LV 60 = completed on Gammastoßblaster LV 55 + am Gammaspitzenblaster LV 58

Why should it be necessary to use the rare Tau Ceti blueprints to build on Sirius ancient blueprints? Just because there are no Sirius ancient blueprints for Tau Ceti you don't have to link the rare Tau Ceti blueprints to use them. On the Korell game server, Sirius has long been touted or sold by GMs as a "raid", then it should be left at the same time and not try to force players to complete as much as possible in Sirius.

A further suggestion to prevent the players from wandering the individual star systems too quickly would be a link to the "white missions" that have to be completed in order to enter the next higher star system.

For example, a certain number of "white missions" must be completed in the previous star system to enter the next higher star system, or a certain number of "white missions" must be completed in order to accept certain missions. May.

I admit that I am not a friend of the "Building Plan dependency system", but there are other ways to incorporate a limitation.

Excellent idea by katana and flyfighter!
New pvp system that makes every system equally powerful also supports your idea...
It doesnt have to be a new planet, it can also be just a part of some map where this system takes place.
But let's say:

One more planet per each system
NPCs drop 30% more cryonite on that planet
Killing players gives XP (same as harvester of equal level)
Killing player has 5% chances to drop graviton.
NPCs drop no BP to increase challenge level, make energy zones valuable,
and thus encourage group fighting.
Also to promote clan fighting, clans can fight for dominance over such planet, and by owning it
have some benefits. Possible way is that each clan could build some kind of pod/building/station on it using clan cryonite and that way "own" the planet and get some kind of bonus. Other clans can destroy it and build it's own on the sam place.

Hehe it definitely is :). Thats why we focus one game at a time when we are doing bigger updates. But even then it's often not easy to satisfy each community in time as we would love to.

Yes to build the ancient items you need the specific rare counterpart. But you only need to collect all the blueprints parts and not build the item itself. So Ancient items that were already installed on a ship can be used as usual even when the rare bps are not completed.

We already have volunteers that provide help to our team. Most of our GMs and testers for example offer a great deal of their free time to support us. But extending this to more Departments for example art, coding etc. requires some team members to dedicate almost their full time to support the volunteers. Currently this is not an option.

Thats why it was very important to finish the Sirius overhaul update before TC goes live. So currently it's much easier and faster to acquire the required blueprints than it was before the update. The example i've posted in my last reply is not fixed and might change based on feedback we got. In fact it already changed from the initial plan we had before to include the ring 1-4 items. But it looks like many players have skipped those items so then we moved to only include the ancient items as dependencies. Lets see where we find the sweet spot in the end. Rest assured that we try to find a good balance between veteran players to honor their effort already invested and new players that would enter Sirus & Tau Ceti the first time. Siruis is a special star system that players play alongside tau ceti making the flow more dynamic.

As a sidenote: All the big updates we did recently released are necessary to prepare for the TC updates. It's difficult to get the bigger picture on how all connects from the community perspective but I guess the puzzle starts to come together :)

The max level in Part1 will be 88. The level up will as usual grant you the bonuses as currently in the game.

I think if you have finished them already you don't need to replay them. You need to finish both episodes before continuing the story missions in Tau Ceti.

The current time schedule says that it should be ready in beginning of May but we are working hard to get it ready earlier as we have initially planned.

They will drop the encrypted Tau Ceti blueprints that will require additional Blueprints to decrypt them.

Some of the map structure will be quite similar but all the emeny units etc. are recreated to be more like a traditional star system. Missions will be adjusted accordingly.

Yes we have that planned. When we started the PVP overhaul we actually wanted to do more and had to split one part out and do it after Tau ceti is released. It would love to tell you what cool system we have planned but it's to early for that. We changed the PVP balancing for this reason ;)

All the PVP ideas and unrelated feedback will be moved into a separate feedback thread to keep this dev shack on topic.

No that is not planned since we already did an update to make Sirius easier even with very small teams. After Tau Ceti is released you can gather more cryonite as currently possible, making skipping missions in sirius etc. an better option when refueling the jumpship with cryonite.
