What if you had trade in pirate galaxy? What if you could get on more ways cryonite and xp. Well Trade, Cargo and more allows you.

First of all, a major change, Mantis will no longer drop Cryonite (Crystal), instead you get a more realistic bounty for every kill, no more complaining about the bad droprate for cryonite, no more complaining about collecting, for everyone something. Blueprints will still drop as a luck factor.

Second of all, new professions, Trade, Escort and Mining,

Mining is offerd a few times as an idea, but i didn't like it often, like an automatic mine, no, you will have to work for it, you will have to fly your own Harvester in dangerous zones where you need protection.

Trade will be for everyone who can afford a bigger cargobay and can get the sharpest deals and sell them for a crazy high price in other systems. You can get rich, but it's very dangerous, maybe an escort could help? Or do you take the risk and get that delivery done.

Escorts will be a little bit differant then the once above, Miners and Traders can make missions, or deals. Escorters (normal ships) can accept them, this has some problems because when there are too less, you might have to wait long, so here it is, the Auto-Escort, it can only be used once a half hour, so a real player is better.

Third of all, Cargo and Cargobay,

Every ship will have a Cargobay, not very big, then you need to buy a Transporter, these transporters can carry 10-25 more then normal ships, advanced Transporters can protect themselfs, but have a lower cargobay.

Cargo's can be picked up at planets and hangars, you will always have to land on a planet and fight mantis that will attack, you can't trick it, it will just happen. The Cargo's can change many times, sometimes you have 10.000 of Metal (offer) and 500 of Computerchips, the metal doesn't pay well, but you can full your cargobay to the top, however the 500 PC-Chips fill up nothing, but pay even as the metal.

As a rule, you can only select 2 cargo's at a time.

Ships,

I think ss can come up with some good ships,

I had my own thought about a trading system, once you've unlocked a blueprint any extra blueprints could be collected and stored, blueprints are sold in parts, however you can sell several parts in one go to make a complete blueprint and blueprints from different systems can only be traded to people who have unlocked that system (EG: If you've unlocked Gemini you can buy Vega, Antares and Gemini blueprints from someone)

Prices work out like this

One part of the Draconis Disaster Blaster would cost 3475 Cryonite (86886 divided by 25, rounded)
One part of the Antimatter Blaster would cost 544 Cryonite (4353 divided by 8, rounded)

Blueprint are always sold at the same price to keep everything balanced.

Hmm, I realy don't like that idea at all :/ It might work in other games but for pirate galaxy it would suck. Nope I don't think this one is among your better ideas.

that hurts,

how about you could mine cryonite crystals and have as currency Cryonite, crystals fill up cargo, currency is digital.

why not have it were u change the Currency System to Credits or something so it's realistic in that way and put some Trading outposts in the game were of instead of getting BPs u have an Inventory, in that inventory u got a certain amount of space, were at the Trading Outpost u can Buy Weapons, Materiels like Ore, and new ships. Cryonite would be turned into a Recourse, and as it said it was Rare the drop chance would not be that good, but it sells for a bit and u can have 100 Cryo Shards in a Pile in ur inventory, as in 100 per slot.

Credits would drop from Mantis, and at the end of each Sunday, ur bounty would be turned into Credits, like Every 1 bounty u get 10 Credits, the more pilots u kill the more bounty u get no matter if they have bounty them selfs, to make it feel more like a Pirate Game.

Sorry Pbhuh, I was a little harsh :/ but I still think this idea wouldn't work for PG, you're trying to introduce a complicated system into what is at the moment something rather simple. A good kinda simple. Also There's no need for professions at all, you could just make the ships and let the players switch their ships at will like they do now.

Plus you're going to bring in trade goods too? hmm, It just ain't Pg any more if ya do that O.O Even if the ships and everything else still looks the same it just wouldn't.

Cargobays wouldn't work in this game as far as I can see and if you made such a change to the game you'd have to change the name to Trade Galaxy. I think iyour idea would be better off used for a totally different game altogether, rather than used to change PG.

Nothing person, it's just the way I see it. Usually i like your ideas, just not this one :idea:

trade can be confurtherd to Smuggling, smuggling is kinda illigel and then it fits in PG. Stealing cargo's, smuggling goods into systems, gettting attacked...

well smuggling would be ok I spose, and random ncp ambushes would be good, but I think the npcs could be left relatively as they are. Also players ambushes would be fun I think. lol, At least for the ones doing the ambushing :O

Though it's still adding too much complication the game, it's nice and simple as it is now, I dont wanna get rid of that (personaally)

Oh and Ridoi... SHUT UP!

well I got no idea who u saying shut up, but if say it was me, then I will say why, maybe SS got 0,0,1% of all the idea we player did come up with.

If you seriously had no idea who I was typing to then you need help. and your stupid comments on every other thread in suggestions ain't helping, if you got nothing to say that's usefull then just kep quiet and stick to reading ^.^ you don't help at all.

(Just to keep it on topic) Not a bad idea in theory Pbhuh but I think it would be better for a completely new game.

Wt you talking about? I am replying cus of a reason, I do not like this idea, simple, why should the PG dev like this idea??? it was a dude with the same idea! and many did say it wouldn't help alot, the answer is no trading at PG.

how about u both shut up! ^^

i like the Idea, want some kind of Trade ingame to atleast add some life into the Game. and i like the idea of Random NPC ambushes.
