Day one of Sirius our teeny clan with the only 2 players who were able to go - took 75k of our own cry bought the jumpship, bought grav packs each (remember 3=1) and went through the worm hole. We have a membership and cry protect and bought extra E which by the way - the cost went up - with gold - which by the way - the cost went up.
Oh NOooo! Most of our mates were scattered in the wormhole. There was no way to reach them.
There were 2 pilots there we knew, but they weren't around. We went to the surface and podded in seconds. Lovely. We tried again. And again. And again. Same results. We were unable to do any missions by ourselves, but managed to open up some of the map to the vacation paradise. We listened to the desperate calls of "How do I repair my jumpship????" Replied with, "YOU DON'T! You can slow it down, but it will burn up no matter what you do!" and called it a day.
Day 2- managed to get into Sirius at the same time as our two mates and squaded up and found a random player. Now, we were able to do some missions and find a bp. Cool!
Evil Imperial thingy's that look like my Sol tank - you're goin' DOWN, baby!
Wait.. wait.. wait... What was that? One of 24.... That can't be right... 24 you said???
Let me understand this..if we are in a full squad we would have to find 120 blue prints for all to get ONE complete bp. This actually sent me into hysterical laughter when I realized what we were up against.
Let's play the numbers game...
Lets seeeee.... let me think.... maybe one out of 8 dropped a bp... lets do math.. and we come up with 960 kills. Okay - what if rate was better 1 out of 5? 600 kills.
What if it was amazing drop rate of 1 out of 3? 360 kills. That's if nothing else shows up for tea... but they always do, like a crazy relative you don't like - the one with the stained undershirt and food in his teeth.
Say only one crazy relative shows up for each kill - um.. that would be 720 kills if the drop rate was one out of three.
But often the entire family of the relatives shows up for tea - this time with a bazooka -
homicidal and unstoppable and....
KILLS you and all your friends.
Oh you CAN kill them - one at a time - with maybe 20 shots of blaster, rockets, os, and sniper ... each. And without a membership - HOW much e would that take?
And if you don't have an engi willing to pod - you have to mat yourself and.. How much e does that take?
We divided up the bps as they came - one for you, one for me, one for him, one for the next guy... hahaha EXCRUTIATING. Then we said, the heck with it. Better one person get all for his ship that can be used, than a domi or engi or storm picking up an attack buff.
Then in chat we learned blaster bps only required five! Well that's doable, we thought. Ahahaha!
We thought wrong. Sure, with five zillion people you can take down those um.. Imperial whatever they are. Turns out the few people that DID get the bp say - it hardly does anything - don't waste your time.
We let our jumpship die. It wasn't worth it. Nearly everyone I spoke to - had already decided to do the same - clear out of Dodge - and play the waiting game.
Patchlogs came out - a glimmer of hope.
But!
We mothballed our clan and joined another.
There is no other way to play that system.
I can't tell you how much it grieves me to leave that group of good friends to fend for themselves for the time being. It's totally not fair.
The drops HAVE to be adjusted... this is just unreasonable.
The number of bps required need to be dropped.
The costs in cry need to be worth the expenses involved.
Small clans are now totally excluded from the game and will die off.
Individual players are also forced out of the game to be trapped in the lower systems forever.
The strength of the Imperials need to be tweaked.
And you need to do something about those crazy relatives.
