Sure, no problem. Just mention it's a best-effort estimate, not guaranteed. And that it is valid at the moment but SS can re-balance things any time and (presumably) without notice.pbhuh said:you mind if i add it to the wiki?

Yeah, I just copied what you had there and linked to your site, (if it's allowed).V1-Hyper said:Sure, no problem. Just mention it's a best-effort estimate, not guaranteed. so why do splitscreen lie so much then cos they told me and alot of others that the rare ships was just for looks, anyway i tested as you did and didnt really see any difference so dont know how you got such a big step as 25%, 25% in being a quater more hp than the normal oneV1-Hyper said:Yes RetroRage, the Rare Ships have +25% armor.
I tested it again last weekend. And the most accurate way to do that is burning a non-rare and rare ship (same armor grade, same class) with the Thermoblaster, coz it doesnt have damage fluctuations.
And i tested it on most classes, the rare Antares Shock, rare Gemini Engi, rare Mizar Storm, etc.. always exactly +25%
And hey, would you really believe a rare Ship to be equal to a common one?![]()
yeah, the 25% is i guess to much, i always tought 10%.RetroRage said:so why do splitscreen lie so much then cos they told me and alot of others that the rare ships was just for looks, anyway i tested as you did and didnt really see any difference so dont know how you got such a big step as 25%, 25% in being a quater more hp than the normal oneV1-Hyper said:Yes RetroRage, the Rare Ships have +25% armor.

well I do not mind the 25% extra hp, if a ship is strong I will buy it simple -.- cus of u guys we lost xx2 hit >.<pbhuh said:yeah, the 25% is i guess to much, i always tought 10%.RetroRage said:so why do splitscreen lie so much then cos they told me and alot of others that the rare ships was just for looks, anyway i tested as you did and didnt really see any difference so dont know how you got such a big step as 25%, 25% in being a quater more hp than the normal oneV1-Hyper said:Yes RetroRage, the Rare Ships have +25% armor.

I do not know about such past statement by SS. Maybe it used to be less than it is nowadays.RetroRage said:so why do splitscreen lie so much then cos they told me and alot of others that the rare ships was just for looks, anyway i tested as you did and didnt really see any difference so dont know how you got such a big step as 25%, 25% in being a quater more hp than the normal one
I'm afraid your calculation doesn't work this way round, for following simple reason:pbhuh said:I will try to recalculate that
38% Damage = 62% Health
47% Damage = 53% Health
53% / 53 = 1%
1% x 100 = 100%
62% / 53 = 1,17%
1,17% x 100 = 117%
Rare armor is 17% better.

WHY HAVEN'T THE DEV'S SAID IF IT IS CORRECT!!
Thx Cepheus, yes a few days on a quiet spot on Kalabesh, a sore index finger tip and a loose key '1' ^^Cepheus said:After labouriously checkin the math....an doin no testing at all.......all I can say is

The Developers do generally not get involved in any of the player communitie's speculations, estimations and quantifications of any of the game's aspects. As an example, take the big Vega overhaul. After this all blueprint drop locations (among others) posted onto PG fansites or the forum were trash. Did Splitscreen point anything out or help us rectify our efforts? Why should they. I dont't blame them, I understand them. The same goes for statistics like this [weapon power]. It's our very own choice trying to document game parameters, not Splitscreen's. The game runs with and without our knowlegde (even better without it). Things can and will change all the time. It's not in their interest to get involved in our findings at all, it'd only make their lives harder.peck said:I only have one complaint about this whole thing....

-are you shure that you don´t confuse the "rare" tournament prize winning ships with the real rare ships?RetroRage said:who said rare ships have more hp???? i asked splitscreen many times if the rare ships have more hp aka normal mizar strom vs the rare mizar storm and they told me many times that the rare ships just look different no extra hp/armor this was also tested many time in mizar rare vs normal and shot for shot it had the same hp/armor so dont know where the rares have 25% extra hp comes from
Is there really a need for you to shout?peck said:I only have one complaint about this whole thing....
