Hello PG community!

This is (afaik) the first attempt to quantify all weapon powers. I spared no effort to measure all weapons to find their minimum, average and maximum damage potential, with as little statistical error as possible!

so basicly you can now calculate how good every weapon is? Blasters, Rockets, Aim Computer, Sniper Blaster, Speed etc.

Yes that's what I did :)
If you are interested, the Aim Computer boosts power by 27%, the Buff by 10%.
Speed used to reduce cooldown by 40%, i.e. total Blaster cycle by 30%, but u know as well, the Speed has currently got a bug. So we have to wait for the fix to re-confirm this.

If you are interested, the Aim Computer boosts power by 27%, the Buff by 10%.

Yeah I hope they gonna fix the second cooldown bug by the Speed Acuator on Blaster.

Soon I'll be releasing a 3rd chart plotting the effective power index of each weapon, contrary to the already shown total power index. The effective power is simply power divided by cycle time (=warm up+cool down), and will be a more realistic figure of merit. You will see the Blaster is not so weak after all, coz it fires much more rapidly than other stronger weapons ;)

In other words, the effective weapon power gives a ship its long-term combined-weapon power, i.e. integration over a long time. Total weapon power can give you an estimate of a ship's short-term damage-dealing potential (discharging all weapons within seconds).
A typical PvP fight is somewhere in between, coz it takes round about a 1 minute, doesnt it.

but are you sure about the sniper blaster + attack charge? I always tought that it almost doubled the damage.

Yes I'm sure I have it black on white. The Buff boosts it always 10%.
Your feeling might be tricking you? With Buff the average hit reaches 70%. That's the point where half of your shots make a "critical hit" sound. This might be tricking your mind... maybe
The statistics remain, the average sniper shot delivers 100 points (w/o) and 110 points (w buff).

Nonetheless, the sniper is infact about twice the blaster (but less than half as frequent, where we are back to the announced effective power index)

What is that image???
The resolution is so low, that i can't see what is on it.

but buff isn't the same on sniper blaster as on orbital and blaster. buff works much better with sniperblaster and sniper blaster with buff.

I'm affraid it doesn't Pbhuh. I was surprised myself. Trust me.
I took every weapon, spent days. I shot at a strong enough player ship between 100x (for each the slow weapons) and 1000x (for the blaster). Did all this w/o and with buff/ with aim. Then calculated the average value (as well as min and max) and found that the Buff really "only" boosts the average hit by 10%, for sniper, for orbital, even for blaster, but not for the droid.
Repeat it yourself ;) But make sure you use same BP level for the weapons and amplifiers.

me no has sniper ^^

k, but again PG LIED TO US:

And I remembered the sniper blasters discription even saying, 200% stronger wtih attack charge.

I remember the description, too. But I have a feeling the Sniper had recently been re-balanced. We can see this best on its sightly reduced armor. it's now down to the Engineer's armor (not talking about the +25% armor for the rare sniper)
And I largely agree the Sniper used to be too powerful.

My measurements are valid as of now. Changes can happen again in the future, but I'm not gonna go through such lengths again :p

the sniper does have less hp as in it used to have more than a storm but now it has less but i know that orbital strike can 1 shot my draconis storm now so it is also very powerful and it is also the best grinding ship now, if they give the sniper more hp then they need to make the orbital strike a little weaker

Yes sniper has weak armor, very bad armor, but at pvp it is king if u have luck only if a crit hit comes from a OS then u will win a pvp easy, but if not I will say u are done did test something; how much do a sniper handle with out the armor it was shocking news for me xD the Draconis sniper has maybe same amount of hp or less then the sol sniper very shocking news -.-
after I have my sniper full rare I am gonna buy a Defender or a tank ^^ the rest of the ships well they are to weak ^^

SNiper armor has never been reduced and has never been higher then the storm.

If I remeber correctly all armors have recently changed
It used to be like this or close to this:
Engineer = 100 HP
Storm = 105 HP
Shock = 110 HP
Sniper = 115 HP (+ Droid HP unknown)
Tank = 185 HP

Now however it definitely is (i recently re-measured it and I put my shirt on that :p ):
Engineer = 100 HP
Sniper = 100 HP (+ Droid HP unknown)
Shock = 105 HP
Storm = 110 HP
Tank = 170 HP

PS: the HP is no absolute but relative value. It's normalized/scaled to the Engineer's armor, set to an arbitrary 100. Absolute values don't make sense here, coz they change within the ship class with the ship's rank.
PS2: Above HP is only valid for non-Rare & non-TR ships (Rare = +25%, TR = +10%)

SNiper armor has never been reduced and has never been higher then the storm.
lol who told you this, in sol the sniper had more hp/armor than the storm
