As mentioned before, the current loot system is not really does not really feel good as it is quite frustrating and not rewarding enough. For this reason we have decided to change the loot system and make it much more appealing.
How did the loot system work and what effect did it have for you. When you have killed a mantis there was a chance that it drops an item. This item was either cryonite or a blueprint. We will change the loot system in two major points:
1. Mantis can drop cryonite and a blueprint at the same time. The drop-chance of blueprints and cryonite will be increased drastically. But, to keep the balance of the game, we will also have to reduce the value of that single drop.
2. One single blueprint will not enable you to build a weapon based on that blueprint right away. You will have to find more of these blueprints depending on the item. Don't worry, with the new loot and drop system you will get quite a lot of them but it will still take some time until you will be able to build the new item. You will always be noticed how many blueprints you have to find until you can build the item.
What we are going to achieve here is to reduce the random factor and increase the fun of finding blueprints. Missions which require you to find a specific blueprint will be much easier with the new system and boosters will work much better since the drop chance while a booster is running can be utilized much better.
Almost every mantis will drop something with the new loot system!
