We have the same issues you guys have..

In case you didn't realize, we dont all live in a big tower above the servers with a perfect connection, were subject to the same problems as all of you...

There is a team who work constantly on nothing but maintaining server stability, its not an exact science and as previously mentioned... there isn't a direct cable running from your house to the game...


Calm down please, I play many online games much bigger and much more power hungry then PG and smaller less powerful ones, and they all suffer the same problems...

From here on I'l say 595/600 then???

all i can say is if you are using windows vista or 7 turn user account control OFF, and please make sure ALL the drivers for your pc are upto date and that your copy of windows has all the latest updates, believe it of not having older drivers on your pc can cause a lot of problems and not keeping windows upto date can do the same, having user account control on makes windows question everything your pc does before it does it and can make some games not work, you can turn (uac) user account control off in your account part of windows

I discovered this game about 5 days ago, for the first 2 days everything ran smooth, then on Friday may 28th, 2010... while attempting to get into orbit from the surface of Vega4, my loading bar kept going... and going... and going and... well you can see where this is...... going. So after about 60 seconds, I exited with ALT+F4.

While attempting to open the game again my loading bar under "Pirate Galaxy" this being the loading bar after the splash-screen, the one that just precedes the log in, register, exit button on the CLIENT... vanished after about 1 second... after about 60 MORE second i exited the client window again. Thinking this was a corrupt file, some odd occurrence I exited and reopened the client again... 3 times and no success. So i waited about 3 hours, did some other stuff came back.. same problem. So I uninstalled... then re-downloaded and reinstalled the client. With my new client download and installation I have a 50% chance of the loading bar vanishing and reappearing, getting me to the log in buttons or just failing like before. IF I get to the log in options, i put my name in, password, connect... "Please Wait" ---> "Select a server (Pick American one)" ----> 50% chance of seeing this message




or sometimes I see the update information, see the discounted item then click past that, then sit on the asteroid belt cinematic for about... 3 mins before I finlay give up and exit the client. SOMETIMES I will be able to log on successfully, but this is random and sparatic. I played for about 2 hours this morning before my loading bar kept going, and going... I had to exit and boom, back to the same problem.

Now I may be droning on... and on... and on but I am not one to post a single or double sentence rant, I want to explain the problem as BEST as I can. Before posting this I perused the forms for similar problems, the only one I found matching my problems well was one from a WEEK ago. Where I saw a mod post something about the American server having problems. But this was again, a WEEK ago. If this is simply problems maintaining the server I understand, I have asked some people in-game when I can log on, and a few have reported similar problems.

Last thing, this isn't something to do with my computers capabilities, I run much more graphic intensive games on max settings such as MW2 and DOWII CR. Both being essence 2.0 coded. Also ran runescape for about 4 years, runescape being java made. So I DOUBT its anything to do with java, or graphical capabilities. As for internet, I have fast, smooth host capable power, and can moniter connection status with LED's on the lyniksis box.. so no base connection problems.

Anyways! Love the game, great ideas, great story's, and great graphics, JAVA mastery indeed. Yet at the moment, I cannot play ='( So please =) Shoot me some feedback, are you having similar problems? Let me know, any tips on fixing it tell me =).

To quote the very first post here on the topic of the bug that was originally posted, the best fix for this is to reinstall the game. It doesnt take long, and there is a much higher chance of getting onto the servers. If it fails, reinstall again. I had this problem, It might be in the archive, but it randomly fixed itself. T|he only fix I came up with was to uninstall and reinstall untill you are able to log in. Also, dont log out unecessarily. If you need to go do somethin else, minimise the client or leave it running in the background. That way you dont have to get through the log in screen which is, to put it simply, a pain in ze ass.
When I had this problem, it happened with all the servers, no matter what server I picked I got that message. Therefore, the gm's may want to consider the fact that this is not a problem that only happens with solaria, but the others too. This means that IF it is a problem that SS can solve, they might look at the log in and server select functions rather than just one of the servers.

Another fix I found is if your having issues with one of the versions like you use the Downloaded Launcher goto the main web site and launch the browser version of the game. It allowed me to get my pilot kicked out quickly and relog back into the game a lot faster. Hope that helps some of the people with issues.

yesterday i wasted 3 damn hours trying to log in solaria.
today so far it has been 2 hours. it sucks dudes. fix it finally!

in the meantime i tried logging in Askonia like 20 times, I succeeded each time i tried. so dont tell me something is wrong with my PC and internet!

same problem as all of you. I even tried going on main server and playing from browser..but it did the same thing. I even tried restarting my computer and modern too..

Ive had no problems logging into Solarias until just now. I was even logged in this morning. When I logged out this morning, I was in a group and I did not disband before i logged out. Could that have some how bugged my IP that tells the server I'm still logged in???
Just giving you info on my situation... Hope it helps in fixing the problem.

same thing with me. like for me its (real way= log in, server list, choose server, loads, then its like rocks flying and a page pops up (news and promotions), you hit close, loads and your in game) i get to after i close the news and promotions after picking solaria and then nothing comes about being disconnected or loading its just those rocks flying and it stays like that for a few min and then the server list comes back to choose a server and it keeps on doing this. But if i go on any other server its fine. It can be my comp. but its a brand new comp like a week old and when i first started playing this game i had no problems and no problems with anything else.

Same problem as everyone ells, but i'm sure they will get it fixed they seem to be fixing things because the game does work, just not all the time... so give them time like i'v been told to may times by them they are working on it bear with them.... even tho it would be nice for it to just work and have no problem that prob wont happen... but hey maybe they will find a new way to keep it working who know... just keep trying and if it dont work do something ells for a few then maybe come back and it will work...

When the sever is off you know there doing some good work to it, Thank you everyone who is putting so much time in to fixing the problem and for putting up with are complaints even tho some like my self have been a bit harsh to the staff so Thank you and I hope everything works just fine and there wont be to many more problem.... even tho there will be but thats what sever maintenance is for.

so when it says "The Server is offline" at the beginning of the Pirate Galaxy Screen not at the server selection one...but after the screen with the Girl and the Planet..it means its off? shouldnt that be said at the server selection screen...where solaria would be in red to know that the server is offline?

No, that message in the screenshot has been there for ages, we have it come and go, just click ok, sometimes it jumps from and back but eventually it will log in.
Sometimes just using the PG repair tool will fix it.
