Xfire released the update for Pirate Galaxy

Many of you may already know about Xfire,
but for those who don't know: Xfire is a free IM service for gamers.

As i really wanted the Xfire work with this great game i talked with [Xfire] Benny he is a Xfire staff and told him that it will be really great if you guys gave the update for this game.

Then after some time he told me we like the game and we will gave update and we will gave it in next update.

So now just at this time today the update is released.

Thanks alot! I've been 'campaigning' for them to make PG compatible for a whole year - nice to see them finally do it. Unfortunately I seem to have some bug meaning I have to exit Xfire to start the game =/ works fine now though

I'm having trouble starting up Pirate Galaxy while Xfire is running. I have to exit Xfire before I start the game or it crashes. Annoying but I can live with it I guess. Is anyone else having this problem?

The startup glitch was fixed in the latest Xfire Game Support update (09/11/2010).

i downloaded this and it messed with my computer i had to take my computer back to pc world and they told me that it was due to a virus witch removed some very important files so i recommend not to donwload this file

untill u run a scan on it before u download it

lol dude i have tested the official file with 4 different antiviruses and its safe. You may had had a virus before.

lol na i know when i download that god dam xfire and i no when my computer messed up so dont tell me i may of had a virus before this is what i had on my pc

Viking/Jadtre infects executable files by creating its own section and modifying the entry point so that the virus is executed first, allowing itself to spread. After that, the executable is run normally (except for when it is an installer, because some versions of Viking/Jadtre compromise installers).

Some versions of Viking/Jadtre also infect htmls by appending a malicious script:

The virus deletes dlls from the system32 folder and copies itself in their place usingthe same name(ex.: appmgmts.dll, qmgr.dll, ntmssvc.dll) and sometimes creates a dll called dmutilio.dll. It also creates .sys files in system32 with random names and registers them as services

and it was on my pc since 31/10/2010 at 13:35 the date and time i downloaded the xfire

Well m8 as i know i have xfire more than 1 year and didn't had any problem.
also i have NIS2011 and if it was a virus it will tell me that.
also i am a programmer my self.
just tell you that some one it can hack your net then edit the file you are downloading.
