You can't just go around calling people "noobs" and "whiners" just because of there opinion about something. I for one loved the Old Vega System more than the New, Especially the mission "Mysterious Temple" and the peaceful planet Vega 2

I have no idea why there are complains still on Steering. For me I found the steering after Wednesdays update, and at PTR the same as it was before changing them. Now I am able to play again.

Only thing I want back from the old is the Cq.

If you are not playing anymore, why keep on complaining, I believe as you do not experience the game and it's changes, your points are not valid anymore.

Player account cannot be deleted nor removed, but I can close up a forum account of player who doesn't play anymore, and I have all rights to do so if you have informed you quit playing.

That is why we come back and complain. The majority of the other games out there are these annoying fantasy 3rd person RPG's, which once you've played 1, you've played them all. Games like this just DO NOT EXIST! There was one game that was vaguely similar, but the company making it had a lawsuit issue and that will probably never be released. This used to be, and many people here will agree with me, the best f2p game out there.

And then SS took over. Every change we wanted to the game they made in the opposite way. Instead of fine tuning the cq system, they completely re created it, and now it sucks.

Instead of making bp drops easier on the harder planets, they made it harder to get 1 complete bp. They also initially attempted to completely ruin repair droids in the release of draconis. They messed up the steering system, even though noone had even suggested to do that. Who just randomly came up with the idea to destroy a key aspect of the game? and not just do that, but seriously think it was a GOOD idea???? Can you not see why so many of us are so exasperated? It would have been so much better if you had just left all the game mechanics alone, instead of constant fiddling for no apparent reason.

The MINORITY, I repeat, MINORITY of the players wanted most of the changes that you put in. So why did you implement them?

But the thing that annoys me the most, is that SS cannot accept when they have messed up. They will not remove updates no matter how many complaints they get. They seem to not care about how the players responded to their ideas. That, is why Gamigo was, are and always will be better as a developing company. They listen to the players.

(This is not in anyway directed at the CM, GM, or FM teams, they do a great job and always have done. This is for the Devs.)

I forgot to mention how badly they messed up the pirate mode. Remember those clan wars on earth? good times, that will never happen again. Get used to the endless grind guys, Its all this game is now.

I don't even need the game to be f2p. I never minded spending money on it in the past because it was a quality entertainment product and I considered it money well spent. Now the only reason I'm still here is because of some of the friendships I've made along the way (and I haven't quite got the hang of the other game a lot of us have migrated to.)

Also bear in mind that when gamigo were here they actually noticed the bug reports on the forum, instead of the situation here where there is no point in posting bugs here because you will get an automated response of "please send a ticket".

and be honest. How many players from the Balkans do we have here. lol.

actually, they were going on, and were fun, right up until PM 2.0 was released, (along with draconis). Because everyone migrated to three or four main clans, so we still had some epic scale battles despite the restrictions. I remember flying red a lot of the time just to antagonise rival clans into going red, which nearly always ended up in a 10 v 10 battle, at least.

Anyway, that WAS fun. It wont happen any more because people aren't prepared to go pm because its so risky, and you cannot turn it off. Therefore, they ruined pm, as its only good for CQ's which suck anyway. The only way that it will improve is if they change the blueprint system, the steering, the CQ's and Pirate mode back to how they were, then it will improve.

But that will never happen.

Good god things have changed...from what I can tell SS are trying to fix what ain't broken, and that never works.
PG has indeed lost its soul. When I first joined, 25 August 2009, it was...magnificent. It was so easy to play, it had a brilliant story, and there often massive battles between players. I can't tell you how much adrenaline pumped through me during those scraps, and let me tell you: it was gaming perfection.

Then things started changing. Cryonite drop rates were fiddled with, the CQ system turned into an abomination, and then PM just went kerblooey.

What happened to the 30+ people scrapping for the hell of it without fear of consequences of having to stay PM?

What happened to the wide-eyed inventiveness of the story instead of a reworked Vega story awkwardly tacked on to mesh with Sol, but not Antares, Gemini and Mizar?

What happened to a CQ system that wasn't horrifically stunted, complicated and unfair?

And what the HELL happened to the ability to play the game without being harassed by advertisements, promotions, offers, discounts, and sales every goddamn minute?

What happened to the original Vega 2, with it's beautifully massive, wide-open desert plains, instead of the cramped-up, constricting planet of Kalabesh (that might I point out, is new players first view of gameplay of PG) it was turned into?

What happened to players being rewarded for becoming powerful and able to gain easy cryonite doing white missions in a much more powerful ship?

Most importantly, soaring far above all other reasons, as this thread asks...WHAT HAPPENED TO THE FUN?!?!

Splitscreen Studios, now I address you directly, especially your CEO and senior developers. Put things back the way they were, in the glory days of this game, or at least allow us the joy of the old, perfectly functioning PM. Reverse the atrocious new control system, and give us back the perfectly good old one. Stop ceaselessly trying to squeeze money out of us, Gamigo manage to keep the game almost ad-free, before you guys turned it into a money-making engine.

Listen to your critics. Give Pirate Galaxy its soul back.
