Hi, i am no so old in this game and i dont know what is PTR, i supose is a test server, but not sure how it works, what are the diferences, if it can cause problems with your acount, etc.
the PTR is a copy of askone that has been taken at some moment,
however does not effect askone as it's a copy.
It's like you copy a picture, you paste it somewhere else, you change the original so the copy is different then the original, but by changing the copy you can't change the original hope that kinda explains what it is.
The PTR (Public Test Realm) is a Server that is used to promote upcoming changes to the "Live" Servers. It is a Server where you can go & play sometimes in a New Enviranment that has not yet been formally released. It is also a place where you can go & check for Bug Patches.
The PTR is based on 1 of 2 Servers Generally, either Askone or Korell. Currently it is the Askone State. Nothing done on PTR will have any effect on your Pilot on the Live Servers
Also the PTR Server is not designed for casual Game Play. As the name states, it is only a Test Server & is not always On-Line
