Hey why have you nerfed the Sniper and not told anyone? I only bought one cause I saw it was powerful, you can't just go and nerf it. The orbital strike is USELESS at pvp, it barely does any damage even when it criticals. I see so you make it powerful so everyone wants one, spends money to get one then nerf it? What a joke. Its now a garbage can, I had to change from it to a ship that cost half as much money and NO TIME to get all the bps for it and it was MUCH better. I spent a month getting the bps for the sniper and am still missing one. I doubt the attack charge does much for it from most of what I have been told. Even if it does, its still pretty rubbish. Really annoyed.

Did I mention I criticalled a lvl 45 storm with the strike, after I was in a pod lol, it only lost HALF ITS HEALTH.

yea and it seems the sniper blaster has been nerfed as well i had problems killing anything at the venus cq

for this time only i agrree completely with u Bill

this is really annoyin, i bought the X-ship cause it was strong, but now i think its a waste of my 200k.
well if u was plannin to cut the power down why not mentioned this to the players

SS can't just do things like that without telling us ... ppl spend money and lot of time on this ship because its a rare one ... rare one must Be better than normal one and now any storm could kill it :confused: ... not fair for all ppl who grinded and spent time on this ship ... Bring It Back To Normal ... this is just RUBBISH !! this ship is not a good ship anymore ... it was good no its no more than piece of flying paper . . . . :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

Don't tell me the sniper blaster has been rendered LESS effective than it was be4 WED update?!? I will test it myself after work tonight.

Not that it was really that good anyway! It costs 60e per shot and often caused less damage than SSB at half the cost! Only decent thing is the range but even that's no more than a gimmick!

The droid is fun and that's about it.

X-Shadow is only a play thing anyways. Another "rare" to own.

I think the problem is the damage is far to varied with most of the time it does very little damage. The aggrobomb is also similar. I think this needs sorting out by Splitscreen.

tbh, it was a little overpowered lol, but it looks like they nerfed it more than they needed to. It should be even with the other pvp ships imo.

Half its bps are rares, it should be more powerful than the other lvl60s. Regarding your parsec shock Riku, its too weak :p. Most of the time the orbital strike does nothing and that's the problem I think. See how it is after the next patch. Oh and remember how strong the Gemini and Mizar shocks were? They weren't changed were they :p. The shock could beat it in a 1v1 before so its not that strong.

I have not changed any values for the Sniper. I heard that there was a problem with its Orbital Strike and that it was being worked on, but this had nothing to do with balancing.

Please give me all the information you have in the form of a ticket/bug report and I'll check it immediately.

I am not in the habit of nerfing anything without first declaring it in the patchlogs. You should all know this already.

Cheers Johnny. I was just annoyed after a conquest of seeing my strike do very little, less than before the patch it seemed. Ill send in a ticket, thanks.

Simply because we never see the patchlog comments until the update has almost gone "live" again on wednesday anyway! If you look at the dates when the logs are posted you will see that they coincide with the day of release! So telling us the changes as they happen really has nothing to do with observable changes we seem to notice "ingame".

You can tell us anything you like really, about the changes or that "nothing has changed", because we can't prove it except for how we perceive things to be. Major things can be proven through testing, but small tweaks here and there, such as ship ground speed, ship armour, mantis resistence, firepower of sniper gun .... etc ... cannot be proven by us at all! The fact is that you do and you have "tweaked" things without first telling us in the patchlogs, or not even mentioning these small "adjustments". Yes you can do what you like as it's your game and you don't need to really tell us anything.... after all, it's a FREE game isn't it?

As for the topic of the sniper gun, power out ought to be related to cost of E spent, and in most cases this holds true. But when it comes to the sniper gun it costs double the use of the SSB and ought to do double damage all the time! So any "low value damaging hit" of this sniper gun ought to always be higher than the SSB and it is not! The variableness of the hits are too far apart when compared to the SSB. As for the Orbital strike... well for over 150 per shot (I think this is correct) it ought to do lots of damage! I used it on about ten level 20 odd interceptors and 2 survived!!! LOL!! What a laugh.

The main reason for adjustments is "game balance" but it seems each balancing makes it less fun. That's why I play - FUN!! Stop trying to make it a serious game as it is not.

I just had to laugh at that statement, that's all!

I'm simply stating that when you perceive a change, go and look in the patchlogs and see if there really has been a change.

If there is nothing in the patchlog but you really feel a change has been made, then there are two things that might be occurring:

1. There is a bug which is not related to balancing, ie it is not to do with a value change that I have made, but is caused by something unintentional. Please make a ticket as this is very helpful.

2. You might be wrong, perceptions are like that some times.

With regard to the Orbital Strike, its balancing was changed on the 15th of March. Its power was doubled after feedback from the PTR. The Orbital Strike has not been changed since, if it feels different, then please remember the above numbered points.

The Sniper has never been changed, not even on the PTR. It does 50% more damage than the Sol Rare Blaster, has 100% accuracy, higher chance of critical hit and a much higher range. I think that is worth double the energy.

Once again, and please read this with an open mind, I do not go around changing the balancing of the game constantly, trying to destroy the fun. I simply don't have the time to do this, I'm to busy design new features for PG and making new Star Systems.

However, sometimes I get feedback from our Product Managers which might lead me to change something, but it will be in the patchlog, so at least when you percieve a change, you can check the forum to find out. I am not involved in some kind of balancing evil doing :) If you think the balancing of the game sucks, then well, that's a different point and I can only apologise as I am doing my best with a very heavy workload.

Orbittal stikr USELESS at pvp???????? ikdennisik tried in on me (i was in R60 shock) and it did me about 50-70% dmg so it kinda works

u need to learn how avoid strike, and learn when enemy use it. then u can avoid 70% loose hp

lol, how to avoid it?? it explodes in 0.1 sec, and it wasnt enemy just a test :D
