I've mentioned this in another thread but feel as though the topic deserves it's own thread.

WE ARE NOT YOUR BETA TESTERS!

I believe that introducing a new system like sirius to a game like PG is probably a large undertaking. I'm sure you've had your work cut out for you. However, this is your business and you are professionals. Having put out a product with as many bugs as the sirius update and labelled it as "ready" reflects very poorly on your overall competence. Other games manage to introduce updates without the ridiculous amount of bugs and problems found here so we know it is possible.

By the time a product is sold to us your consumers (and I don't know anyone in sirius who doesn't pay) it should be usable, functional, and something worth paying for.

Maybe it's difficult to maintain the veil of secrecy while properly beta testing your product but if that's the case then it's your responsibility to either find a way or make concessions about how much you can keep secret while ensuring your product is properly tested.

I'm not here to slander anybody. The dev's and management at Splitscreen are professionals and this is their career. I can't think of any profession where it's acceptable to deliver such a flawed product.

...and believe me, I've considered that maybe it isn't the developers fault. Maybe the people in charge set an unrealistic goal for release and pushed the product out when it wasn't ready. Either way this update has been mismanaged horribly and it reflects poorly on Splitscreen.

I like this game and I don't want to see it die. You have to realize that from draconis on all you really have is paying players. If this game is to continue it is important to deliver a quality product because people get upset when they feel as though they've been ripped off.

SPLLITSCREEN,

If you want to manage future releases in the same way treat them as an open beta. Make it free to play (in that time spent in the new system doesn't contribute to the expiration of items we've paid for such as memberships, cryo protect, and boosters) in the new system for the first month, or 2 weeks, or however long it takes you to iron out the kinks. This way we're not paying to test your product for you.
