[OK, I have looked on WIKI, checked the Forum (did I miss it), and ask 3 GM's in the game (they told me to check WIKI):

What is the WS scale? In other words, I am level 75, so...
at my level ( any level really) what is the highest score I can get from 1 Mantas kill?
what is the drop in score based on the drop in level of the Mantas I kill?
So for example,

If I am level 75 and I pop a level 75 Mantas I will get X WS.
If I pop a lvl 70 Mantas I will get X WS.
If I pop a lvl 65 Mantas I will get X WS.

etc.

In this way I can figure out that with every level (or 2 or 4, etc.) below my level the WS I recieve will drop by X, until at XX levels below my level I will get no WS.

What is this formula? There must be some GM or DEV who knows this, who programmed this!

Thx,
Preacherman

You get WS from mantis up to 8 levels below your current rank.

How much I have no idea! Go shoot one at say level 70 alone then look at how much your WS went up.

You mean you actually care about WS ? Most of us just farm for greens using harvs and our WS goes up while we gather those yummy morsels ^^

-you are confusing warscore with XP, santa:) -and i am just so interested in warscore that i guess that you will never see me with an triangular poolball next to my name. (especially because that i continously work on eight servers;) -i am pretty shure that all mantis gives some kind of warscore no matter your rank, and that harvesters gives the most. -but with the lack of info, it seems that we have to find out ourself...

Oh yeah, you are right... 8 levels lower IS for XP I forgot... WS is 10 levels lower... soz ^^

Every mobs give warscore when you pod them, no matter wich level you are. Each one give you a specific amount.

Santa no offence but you're wrong, what you say was true before draconis release. Now you can even get warscore if you're rank 75 and pod rank 40 harvester.

The oldest system I can remember was fair always and V1-Hyper was able to make a list of it, you got WS 15 lvl's below you, I think that still counts, but not sure.

Thx Guys, but the Jury is still out. I have now gone 21 levels below my current and dropped only 3 points! The 18 lvl cut-off seems to be gone. I have noticed that level 78-79 are getting the same WS as lvl 75, does that seem right to you? Loophole? Special exception? Does SS know what the WS formula is? Hmmmm.

Then I guess it's based on ship.

Well Preacherman.... I seem to remember you used to rack up alot of warscore on Lustra until some figured out what you were doing. Then SS changed the point system.... You can thank those who whined for the point system change.

I guess you're all going to whine some more and have that changed. Whats sad is its a game and you all cant win so you whine and whine until the game is catered to your needs. But then you end up falling back behind again when someone figures out another formula to beat what you had changed.

If you wouldnt hate those that have figured it out... they might let you in on the formula.

But its pretty simple really and dont worry.... plenty of GM's have sat invisible and watched those grinding and they know everything is on the lvl.... even Astraeus knows everything is legit...

Peace folks and Happy Holidays...

So in other words you have figured out how to "game the game" and get away with it? And if GM's were "Invisible" how did you even know they were there? lol

There is no cheating involved...its not an exploit...It's good old fashion math. Now if you cant figure it out then I am sorry.... but keep trying...

Passanger m8, the warscore seems to be based on your level combined upon where you are at, until you hit the Sol system and get a R60 ship its not worth competing, the WS system depends upon how much stuff u can kill per every 15 mins, and that is depending on your current level.
My advice is that if u are wanting to get your warscore high either get a sol sniper and grind moon harv's or get a draco sniper and work the systems above that. they really are the best ship for cry/WS if thats what ur after

Happy hunting Drak : )=

-ok and thanks, drak:) -but i think that preacherman are closer to make use of your advices;)
-the same day on askone i did a standardmission on aurora/vega4. -i took down one lvl 15 harvester and six rockettowers, and got 74 in warscore for that;) -so yes, grinding harvesters is good:)

I am sorry that my attempt to find out what should be a simple formula, seems have devolved. Silver Bullet, I do not know why you suggest that I was doing anything secret or questionable when I was grinding on Lustra, or anywhere else. I will be happy to tell you or anyone exactly what I was doing and would have then if you had asked, but to set the record straight here it is: If I remember right, at that time the WS value was 2 points per kill—no matter what you killed. I flew around in my Parsec with a Mizar blaster popping harvs and ints. I used the Mizar blaster to draw out the ints, otherwise a higher level blaster would simply pop the harv. This was no secret, I learned it from another player.

I don’t “hate” anyone (can’t say I am not annoyed by some players though). I play fairly and respect other players in the game, anyone who has played with me or beside me knows this. I am not “whining”, my goal is simply to understand what is fair based on the official rules and policies of the game, right now I cannot figure this out because, for some reason I cannot understand, it seems to be a secret. I am trying to play the best I can and I am hoping that someone can make better sense of the WS situation that I can.

I had understood that WS was a declining number based on the increased disparity between player level and mantas level, if this was true, it seems to have changed. Currently there is no difference between a lvl 75 and lvl 78/79, but this WS “level lock” seems to only apply to these levels, not to levels below 75. Is this not true? Have I missed something? There is no official answer to this.

This question could be answered easily by SS, but lacking that answer I have gone you guys in the hopes someone has better insight than I. This should not be this hard to figure out, it is a simple and legitimate question, thanks to those of you who have tried to help with it.

I was just told there is no difference in WS between lvl 70 and 79, is this true? Can anyone add to this by supplying numbers?

Peace,
Preacherman
