lol or too lazy to grind 6k for a vega ship :p
maybe 6k for a vega ship but what about when it comes to Mizar ,sol, Draconis a drac ship is going to set you back nearly a mil cry most people have worked hard for there cry and tech and players are not going to downgrade there ancient tech when certain bps are ranging from 50k onwards depends on what system your in,
Maybe the devs make a special planet with a new hanger with all the ships in the game with all rares equipped (no ancient tech ) and then people/players don't have to waste cry that seems like a better idea

I agree with the idea of having 2 "divisions", one with ancient tech and the other without.

I can understand that to the lower levels it might seem unfair/unbalanced to go against ancient tech that they can't get yet. I understand that players have worked hard to get all their rares to do events and tournaments like this, however players have also worked hard to get ancient tech for those systems and that ancient tech is not readily available for them to get whenever they decide to look for them. In addition to this, ancient tech also costs more to put on, so it would be a downgrade in tech as well as a loss of cryo for any player using ancient tech, making them in some cases less likely to want to participate in a tournament where they can't use their ancient tech.

This would raise the question of: What is the point of having ancient tech if it isn't going to be allowed in pvp events like this? Most players put on ancient tech to have a new/different/more fun experience in pvp, so why take that from them?

The only solution that would satisfy both sides of this is to have ancient tech vs ancient tech and rare tech vs rare tech in the tournament, and have a winning team from both sides/divisions OR to give players 100% cryo refund for their ancient tech so they can downgrade to gold at least without losing cryo.

(another option that i thought of was giving players a full refund on ancient tech and then giving them temporary golds to replace them until the tournament ends or until they lose. Thoughts on that?)

-as most siriuspilots have ancient tech installed, you have to allow it. (let them win?;)
-and somebody asked if drones could be used, and ofcourse they can. (as well as armoralloy, and other special upgrades?)

-i only got ordinary bp´s and rares installed, and i still have to fight ancient tech to see how "overpowered" it is???

-ps, did i hear you close this subject?;)
-and yes, i think there is far more important things to fix in this game too. (read CQ:)

Hello all,

To be fair, there should be two versions ... one with ancient and one without. Maybe version a and b and let each pilot choose which one. Let them choose if they want to go up against ancient tech. I have seen rare tech beat ancient before, so it is possible. Otherwise i vote to allow the ancient tech of course.

If we have only one choice and it doesn't allow for the ancient tech then those of us with ancient on our ships will have to either change the tech or build a whole separate ship just for the event which is not quite fair. Good luck all! See you there!

Solaria agrees for once. If you didn't catch my drift, reader, I want two divisions so people with no ancient tech don't ***** and moan. :)

to be honest it shows how pg and its authorities value its customers not very much there losing them tau cetis a flop and theres nothing to do but grind for the pilots who got to 85 pg is going down hill and has been for some time but pirate galaxy in my opinion hasnt done nothing to bring it back taking using our ancient tech outa a tournament is another slap in the face and further proof pg dont care about its game or its pilots
