As the subject says, it is a topic to post advices on.
I created that topic, it is not the topic where you will bring such questions, it is not a rant topic, and I would like to keep it as that.
If a topic has been locked, it is against the forum rules to restart same topic.
I am this forum Lead Moderator, and I have been here for over 3 years, I believe I know how to do my work here, and as well I know when someone post an issue off-topic, I also know when a post has to be moved, and then it will be moved.
Post are locked up if they are flaming, or other ways being against rules, or they are locked cause some users tend to dig up 2 years old topics just to post some comment.
This game has changed and it is not the same as even a year ago, so many topics are totally outdated.
This is called moderating a forum.

So theme can be locked because of flaming posts, therefore stopping good advices to be put in next posts. Hm. So if someone have something smart so share with all of us, he is not allowed to speak because that theme is locked. Also he is not allowed to start new theme about that.Adrana said:

You should make locked themes not to pop up in search, and make a list of what themes should not be talked about in PG Forum. That could be a solution.
Game is changing, like Vega pvp rules. But if Vega pvp had been changed again, and we cannot talk about that, then how can we talk????

its late reply, but even so. one can get annoyed by getting podded by some one with better tech. but that pilot did nothing wrong. He/she has spent alot of time getting the best gear to that system, like when you have been grinding for the rare print in vega. if you have just gotten the gold blaster and podding another vega pilot that only got the blue blaster, it would be the same thing just the reverse order.Mysterion said:

You dont get more xp when red, so i dont see why anyone want to be red if not going to pvp or cq.
if you do sm while red it is only your own fault if someone podds you and the mission fail.
i do help many pepole doing sm, tech hunt etc, but i refuse to help them if they go piratemode.
my short answer to the question is yes.

Yes you get XP% Bonus having PM on, but only if you got bounty on your head.
If you have 0 bounty you get 0% Bonus xp.
So many pilots on Vega switch their PM on regardless if having bounty or not as they are not aware of the bounty system, and how it works.
If you have bounty, and you get podded by another red, you will loose it, and if you insist on putting back the PM on thinking you are getting more xp, it's an error.
The only way to get xp bonus again, is for you to pod a red with bounty, and that way you will have it back. ^^

I'll just tell ya newbies this; Only turn yer PM on you're prepared to get podded or pod.
you got some % xp in 2009/2010, but they told that it was reduced allmost to nothing. ive had a break from this game for 1,5 years, but i dont think they would have encresed xp%.
anyway, you get so little that there is no point. i tried to see if my progress was faster with pm on. did 3 bars each with and without pm. same place and same mantis. i spent just the same amount of hours with and without pm. in my test 1-2 years ago it had no effect at all.
as i probably posted at the same time as those above, they say that you get some % if you got bounty on your head. how much xp% or what max level is i do not know.
i just remember when the devs redused xp-rate, it migth have been due to introduction of the bounty system.
ive asked some1 that tested xp with pm. he tried with his "noob" account. he kind of killed his other ship/account and got a bounty of 21k+ on his r30 account. it was said that the more bounty on your head would give more xp. he tested this but he didnt get more or less xp form that try with or without pm on.
this and my own tries tells med that the xp-booster if pm on is not working. therfore no use going red to get more xp.
