Can anyone at all tell me WHAT is going on with Split Screen?
Has anyone had an official response from Split Screen?

Does anyone feel like Split Screen has even listened to the players or read the posts?


In reviewing the latest proposed update to the game; does it appear that they've taken our frustration into consideration?

How does it address the issues posted here repeatedly?

Here's how most of us see it....

The SplitScreen developers are modifying chat and also adding anchor points so the ship doesn't drift? Umm.. So what? It doesn't affect our actual game play.

We don't care if the tutorial is being removed.
It doesn't affect our game play.

It doesn't concern us if we are not selecting the server any more.
It doesn't affect our game play.

And when we see the news about the game - also does not affect our game play.

Incorporating a repair droid into starter ships.. lovely, but every pilot is going to ditch the starter ship within a few hours of signing up. I've read NO complaints about incorporating a repair droid into starter ships.
For the majority of pilots.. it does not affect our game play.

Hints and tips on the loading screen.
Does not affect our game play.

About the ONLY thing that affects our game play - is raising the energy cap. Hallelujah.


Split Screen, by ignoring the players and maintaining this wall of silence, you are driving us away.
READ the forum and note the amount of players who are fed up and walking away from the game.

RESPOND TO US PLEASE.
Do it in actual words. Words like - we may have messed up here. We SHOULD have responded to your concerns instead of acting like we are ignoring you. You have a point and here's what we believe the issues are:_____________________________ .
And then tell us how you're addressing them.

You may feel like you have responded to us... but I don't.
And none of the players I've spoken with do.


I hope you can understand this - because I don't think you really get it...

The paying players will not pay for a game that is no fun to play.

If you read what your customers are saying - you will realize the paying players are not happy players.
Therefore, unhappy players who are not having any fun say good-bye and decide to pay someone else to have their fun.

Very soon you will not have paying players.

I've spent 25 years in Customer Service for large corporations.
I know exactly how you should be responding.

You are failing miserably.

Any other players have anything to add?
The ones who are left, I mean.

Most of the problems that they are solving have been a point of discussion for a long time.

I am happy, btw, That repair droid, I think its now added to the basic 2, like every ship you buy has a blaster and collector, now they have i guess also repair droid. Good when a player buys the AnIn-1450. Thats often a point where players need cryonite. So it gets cheaper. But in higher system, I agree with you. Who Cares.

Please solve the problems for the higher players. Solve Turret Attack Mission so we can finish Draconis.

Do you know if having all those pilots sitting on the surface whilst they get something to eat or use the loo - will add to the game lag?

Actually it could affect your game play, If you go away for a moment (AFK), you wont be drifting into a Mantis & finding a Pod when you return if you are in a "Safe Area"

We don't care if the tutorial is being removed.

The Removal of the Tutorial is for New Pilots & may also help to Balance the Servers

Opening News is for Informational Purposes, If you dont want to read it Dont, but you may be missing information that does affect your Game Play

I hope you can understand this - because I don't think you really get it...

I think I am probably one of the most frustrated people in this game. I also am seriously offended by the lack of regard demonstrated by Splitscreen to its customers. It is irresponsible of any company to sell anything to anybody without some sort of "customer service" system in place to handle any issues. And, while we have to recognize the tireless efforts of our GM's to help resolve all they can, we also have to realize that they are volunteers and not actually within the compay management structure.

I have written forum post after forum post in attempt to obtain the attention of somebody within Splitscreen, to no avail.

I have gone to the Splitscreen web site and sent them an email, again to no avail.

I have tried to telephone them, actually getting an answer from someone, who spoke german and promptly hung up on me when I asked to speak with the C.E.O., but in fairness this may have been a language issue.

I have no doubt that NOBODY of consequence within the company structure of Splitscreen has or does read this forum. Now, I am also not a youngster, having past my mid-century mark a short while back. And, it offends the heck out of me that they treat us without enough courtesy to even be aware of our feedback about the game. If this was an American company every consumer rights group in the country would be on their butts. How ridiculous is it that we actually care enough about their business to take the time to post these messages to them, only to be ignored almost completely. The exceptions being, the MOD's, GM's, and fellow players. Now, there is at least one employee that has the opportunity to read the forum because he writes to it, and he does so in english or at least knows how to use a translator program. Why has he not advised his supervisor that an issue exists and it is quickly coming to a head?

Frankly, it just offends the **** out of me!

How can a company with any integrity at all, not respond to over a hundred complaints from customers in less than a two week period. So, in answer to your question . . . NO NOBODY IS LISTENING! And, it is simply stupid that they are not.

I do not know about the rest of you, but I loved playing this game. I believe it the best made so far. And, since thay have played the money game with it, it is not even remotely the same game. Future plans for additional changes will take it further away from the game it used to be, and I cannot stand it. How can this company be so irresponsible? You don't paint over a true work of art, and they are!

I had thought to write a nice letter, translate it, and send it by mail to them. But, I suspect it would not reach anyone in the company high enough up their food chain to make a difference. And, if it did it would be long after this game destroyed and most of us long gone. I had thought an international client base would require responsible customer service, or is Splitscreen just trying to run it based on customer neglect in the belief that we will continue to be treated with this level of disrespect while opening our wallets to them.

Here is a tip to all of you that purchased the six month membership and feel you have to stay because you paid. Contact your Bank or whomever your credit card issued by and tell them that you want to do a "charge-back" as you are not getting what you paid for. That way you can possibly limit your losses.

I do not know what to do about this situation. I do know that as each day passes and nothing has been done to fix the game, the more frustrated I become. But, I tell you one thing . . . I AM NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER!

You are very right my friend.

I'm as annoyed as you (maybe less as I havent spend any money on this game) but anyway I have spent a lot of time.

I am giving SS another chance with the patch in January.If they fail to fix things again im gone. I hope the new loot system is more balanced.At least it cant be worse that what it is now.

The e cap increasing is very promising, it may not mean much to someone who has membership but its a lot for us free players.

I dont know if u play a game called DO, but if u do and if u have ever checked its forum, the owners not only ignore the players but also offend them by closing their threads and not allowing them to complain.I cant really blame the gms as they do their job, but the forum is built from stupid rules that do not allow ppl to speak their mind.

So there is worse than SS and I cant really complain about the GMs and Devs reading the threads.U know if u scroll down the page, you can see who is reading the thread. Im pretty sure I have seen Delloda and Highway a few times in some complaining threads and I cant say they dont really read the threads.

The dev's read the german forum more, because they are also german. Now that also Delloda left im beginning to think that i should get to the german forum, as there are fewer and fewer here.

apart from that, they are reading all forums, depending on what language they speak. I see the devs reading the english forum, too. Don't know how much they are reading single forums, but they are reading all.

And all that being said, Astreaus, if you work directly for Split Screen as a developer, there are few people that know that. You can count me as one of the ignorant - and not knowing that - when you respond it appears like an unofficial representative of the company who is simply trying to put the fire out.
It then gives the appearance that we are not being heard by Split Screen at all. That the issues are being escalated as you say; how could we possibly know that?
There needs to be more communication between everyone concerned.

It feels like we are being ignored, and and it feels as if the company's response has been:
If you don't like it - well that's just too bad - we don't need you anyway. Live with it or go.

Honestly, though I'm certain Split Screen does not intend to make us feel that way, the damage has been done. Now how do you get out of it, repair the damage and move on?

Astreaus, being that you DO read the forums, then you must be aware that though some changes are being made - they really don't address the REAL issues bothering veteran pilots.

All we really want - is the game we used to enjoy playing.

SS has finely done something good, somethings we always wanted but still you are complaining, i am sorry. but you are also annoying.

Same problem in german forum. Whenever Splitscreen makes something new, most people come and say "No, we don't want this stupid changes" "If you make this, i'll quit". It's bad, and i want to deescalate the situations, but it doesn't work every time :-(

Maybe if you wouldn't use the gold color, some posts would be less confusing, also red is used by me here when I have some warning etc. to someone or some posts here at forum.

They are quite significants colors and used by us in staff.

The facts are, WE ARE BEING IGNORED! Not a single change being made is being made to repair the game. Changes are being made to change the game further, not fix it. I don't know if they read the forums or not, but if they do and are intentionally ignoring us, the disrespect they are demonstrating will eventually reach the ears of someone that will recognize them for what they are. Remember my friends, "What goes around, comes around" and their turn shall come. And, if they don't want or care for their customers, tough. The game is FUBAR anyway. If they think I'm waiting another few weeks for them to change the game again causing additional damage, while they do nothing to fix whyat damage they have already done, they are NUTZ!

Okay Adrana, I Didn't know there was any significance to the colors. I will try to avoid using red and gold in future posts. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I would recommend that in the future you don't read them and thus spare yourself the aggravation.

And rather than dignifying your post with a scathing reply about rudeness and disrespect - I've decided to take into consideration your age and I will not engage in discourse with someone who is so obviously unarmed.

On a brighter note. I think you are doing a great job with the wikki pages. Keep up the good work.

I'm personally gunna see what they do with the looting system. Might be another failure, but maybe SS will do something right this time :) Well, either way we'll just find out won't we ^.^ I hope for the sake of this game and what's left of the community that they do well in the next update.

No, the problem is that everyone is complaining about things we haven't seen yet. It's not only you, i find it sometimes interesting to read an complain, but sometimes ppl can complain to much. And these days it happens a little bit too much.

Don't worry Lool, I think you have made some valid points here, same as Datajam, the game isn't good to play.
Each step, and new patch is throwing us deeper into a bugjungle and we need to cut us through with WOODEN knives for to try to proceed in any way.

I haven't often expressed my opinions in these days, I used to do it a lot more at the old forums, but when I see something is wrong, it is really wrong and not my fantasy.

Those whos been mostly writing in this forum about their real cash spending in this game, and even many think they are one of most spenders, don't forget not all are writing at the forum about how much they spend here.

Every month I have uploaded 100€ to my debit account what I use with PayPal, these 100 are spent at PG.
So count of that how much I have been spending in this game, for eg 1 years time aka 12 months, thats 12x100= 1200€, now tell that u spend most if u tell us u have spent 400 in this game.
I guess in all I have spent around 1400-1500€ in this game since I started to play.

So yes you can count me in as a big spender in this game.

Now I as so many other players are getting frustrated with it, more and more, day by day, cause what happens here, only new stuff is introduced in the patches, and issues that should be fixed, and returned as it was, they are not touch, Why??

Now lets start from the begin:


CQ's: Return the old Cq's, throw the motherships to the trash, bring back the old days glory.
Resolution: Remove the mother ships and return old cq

Achievements: Bring back the old system, this was supposed to honor the work of Hyper 1 and 2,
I actually cannot see the point, as skulls and all old has been removed.
I rather use the achievement system of Hypers as it was before.

Resolution: Remove the new achievement system from the game.


White/Standard Missions: Vega, Antares, Gemini systems has brought ALL my DONE whites back, and therefore they do not appear at the new achievement system.
I want all what I have done before back and the missions marked as DONE.

Resolution: Fix the DONE missions to be DONE, and stay DONE!

Story Missions: Vega had a make over way back, and it was great and liked even the new story missions what was done, but why in the earth was other systems SM's touched with the Draconis update?
Why was the Testing aggro, and other mission renewed from hard to impossible?
And many other what I will not mention.

Resolution: When u work on a new system, don't touch the other systems, let them be as they were.

Engineer: Useless in these days, the gaming community was much happier, made more friends and could acquire new fresh members when they helped them out.
Lots of friendships were born in this game due to interaction between and engineer and other players, Engineer used to be, and could feel themselves important, now they were thrown to the trash, amongst with many other good things in this game.

Resolution: Bring back the importance of Engineers.

These are some of my points, there are plenty of them out there, and this list would be infinite if I kept on listing them here.
Fact is that I will let the Devs breath in between, and let them look at a few points at one time.
I can understand it can be a mess when there are so many points in each post at the forum what are ranting of the changes, and not liked issues ingame.



Ps.. As much as I agree with many threads and posts about the changes,
the way many of them are posted actually doesn't do good to my eyes at all to read, so in some BLOCKS I just give up and don't read the rest. Also any leet writes, or slang will make me stop reading a post.
Also bad taste, cursing etc, repulses me from reading.

Imo if you want to have your points heard, be clear, don't post hundred bad issues, and ur ideas of changes in that same block, + the rant in it how bad this and that is.

Sincerely, I can relate me to the devs not having a will to read through them.

Make a clear statement about ur opinion, post about a few most important changes that you want to change back, don't mess in your ranting post rant with suggestion, gosh.
