Try the alternative Vulkan-based game launcher

If your computer comes with modern Intel graphics, our games may fail to run if you use our standard game launcher.

This guide will help you with installing an alternative Vulkan-based game launcher which should work well with your modern Intel graphics.

1. Download and install the alternative Vulkan-based game launcher from this link.
   • If you already had our standard game launcher installed, setup will first uninstall it and then install the alternative game launcher.
   • During installation, the Microsoft Defender SmartScreen filter may tell you that it prevented an unrecognized app from starting which it says "might put your PC at risk".
     We assure you that our game launcher is not harmful for your computer; choose to "run it anyway" like this:
     
     
     
     
     
     
     
2. After installation has finished, run the game through its website pirategalaxy.com.
   • You may see the popup message in your web browser again which asks you to allow game launcher links to be opened.
   • Depending on how your system is configured, you may also see the warning message from Microsoft Defender SmartScreen again.
3. That's it! From now on, our games should run on your computer!

Please note that installing the alternative Vulkan-based game launcher has no impact on our standalone game clients. This means you will always need to go through the game's website to run the game.

Update on the modern intel graphics issues!

We had provided the alternative Vulkan-based launcher for players who had trouble launching the game with their modern intel graphics.
Only recently (October 2024) intel drivers were updated to fix severe issues with our games! Recent intel drivers are now working with our regular game clients. We no longer recommend the Vulkan-based launcher and would like to highlight the importance of updating your graphics drivers
