This is a petition to make gear transferable between ships to help avoid some of the needless grind. Cryo takes a very very long time to earn, even with the best "purchased with gold" upgrades, this would halp make things slightly less tedious and improve game flow

You can transfer weapons. However, cables must be re-run and mounted in different ways, all ships are different. You do this by selling the item, then buying it. It costs half the price of buying a normal weapon.

No it is not, you buy the old used one when it appears on the market ^^
Really, how possibly would it be free? This is like being able to shut down the repair droid at any time. It's... wrong!

Neuxkule here: I support this petition. I'm only just starting out myself and I find the upgrade process too cruel as purchasing the ships and armor are costly enough without having to rebuy all your components for a new ship.

it would destroy the cryo balance of the game, sol sonic blaster costs 20,000 cryo or there abouts each time you fit them to a ship, but imagen if you only have to pay this as a one off payment then you can use it on all your ships, everyone would be loaded with cryo, what would happen if splitscreen made it so you could transfer weapons is that the price of the weapon would go from 20,000 to buy to something like 80,000 cryo to even the cryo balance in the game, so yes it would be transferable but it would cost 4 times as much to buy it so it kind of defeats the point really

if u have to buy it first, then u can keep it in storage for later use, that way cryo balance is not upset, and u can transfer stuff from ship to cargo to other ship.

it would still upset the cryo balance for the simple fact that the way you want it you would only have to buy the bp once no matter how many ships you put that bp on, so say i got 3 sol ships and what to put sol blaster on each this would cost me 60k cryo now, if you had it your way it would only cost me 20k cryo for all 3 ships

Cry balance would be really disturbed with this idea.
You will have it easier to gather cry the higher rank you will be.
What is the use of playing a game where you will have all in the easiest way, handed to you on a tray,
for that I could name other games online what suits for that.

How do you think players has obtained what they have in the game at higher ranks, with hard work off course.
How would they feel if all what they had to work hard for would be now reversed to get very easy at low levels.
We have all gone the hard way, but you know what, the challenge in this game, is really a challenge, and it is the pleasure of having beaten something you thought at the begin to be impossible, that makes one feel really good and proud about themselves.

You would miss all that feelings of a huge achievement if you would have it your way.

Yes it is hard, but we chose it to be, thats why we still play this game several of us for over a year now,
or almost a year.

And you know what, we Love it!

Just tell me whats the use of this at low ranks, people are leveling the whole time and getting updated bps according to rank to be more proper for the rank of ship you purchase.

I'm against this idea. Though I would appreciate the ability to transfer if it was granted, I think it is unnecessary. This is the only MMO I can think of at the moment that allows you to "freely" change classes. Most of them let you pick one at the start and then you have to stick with it throughout the entire game. In this one, if you want to change classes, all you need do is buy the new class. Therefore, I believe their should be some "penalty" for changing. Re-equipping is good discouragement for switching classes, while the more determined have no problem with it.

As for the grinding cryo complaint, it should be easy for someone with access to the higher level systems to get cryo for their low level ships. A level 50 should have no problem fully equipping all of the level 10 ships.

I think that Adrana is right.

What's the point if the whole idea of the game is handed to you on a plate.
Be honest ppl, i spend weeks and weeks grinding for cryonite in order to be able to pay for my latest purchase but still i am short. So i have to do some more grinding. Start shooting harvs on several planets and collect the dropped cr. In a matter of hours you'll see it will pay off. Patience, patience but what's the rush, it's a game and you need to earn (find/gather) cryonite in order to buy nice things.
During grinding if you're lucky you'll find some (usefull) bps so who's complaining. I'm not.

I've spend weeks of playing to get there where i am now. I haven't bought any e cap or memberships so everything i have accomplished is gathered just by playing and grinding.

And yes it takes a lot of time to get all those goodies but for me it's worth it.

ummm can i just say that i think u may have misunderstood what i said earlier. What i meant, was that if u buy a blaster, then put it on ship, but then u buy another, and keep it in storage until u want to put it on an other ship. so u buy it beforehand, and keep it in storage for later.

Uhm no? you buy it once, you dont duplicate it for free... and how about you can only transfer items once every 3 days?

This is a very reasonable idea, if there are limits. Maybe like items can only be transferred once and theres a transfer fee of 20% of the original cost. And not everyone likes to grind. Cause it takes a really long time. And for your "who's complaining" you need to read all of the people who posted cause they liked this idea.

hmmm stil get the feelin people misunderstand. you dont duplicate it at all. you can buy each individual one, and stick them in storage. eg. i buy two blasters, i put one on ship, and put other in storage, until i get another ship, then i put the one in storage onto that ship. therefore, already bought the laser, but u can then put it onto a ship later. is this more understandable????

Really whats needed is that you can buy an item and put it in storage, or un equip it and equip it on another ship. But to limit exploiting, and item can only be transferred once. So when you go up a system you can equip your next system ship. But only once and a small fee would be added, 20-30% of the original cost. so a 100 cryonite item would have a 20cryonite transfer fee, a 20k cryonite item would have a 4000 cryonite transfer fee if your using 20%
