as awesome as this sounds... I to have thought more then once on this...
and the short answer I've always come to is: in the present form, absolutely not.
the long answer (and I'm sure dev's/gm's have even more reasons) is this:
there is no need for it, and what little use could be made out of it, would be sorely outweighed by the sheer magnatude of how easily abuseable it would be. instead of going out and working for that shiny new rare blaster, you could just ask a clanmate that has an extra copy for it for next to nothing.
clans that have been around/have people in much higher systems could 'outfit' there entire clan with max bp's without them even trying, which would actually lessen the overall enjoyment of the game for most.
I mean, imagine this game where EVERYTHING but exp was handed to you? would be very boring.
and to the new clans who don't enjoy such conditions, would make it EXTREMELY hard to win at a conquest as there opponents would all be maxed out everytime, even newer members.
so the real question that boils down to for any kind of trade system is:
what would you trade?
the only 'resources' you have in the game at the moment is:
blueprints = once you have 1, is useless to have more (in new loot system once you have enough)
cryonite = is a good thing to trade -with- but without something to trade for is worthless
gold = is used as 'cashshop' money and would be very bad if this was obtainable through ingame
energy = maybe... but who would pay cryo for something you could get free? (and teammates just share)
ships = almost as bad as blueprints... since you never lose anything unless you sell it, all you would need is someone give you a ship with everything, and why get the blueprints?
so again... the real question here is: trade for WHAT?
