I would love some theory crafting on the idea of the Sirius Singularity coming this month,
taking notes from my easy to read list of things that have been announced by SS: http://wiki.pirategalaxy.com/index.php/Pirate_Galaxy_Wiki#Future_Content
But first lets get back into where we are now:
* Draconis - We defeated the mantis queen and were at the point of helping the methanoids retake draconis.
In that storyline Delloda's list of future star systems would probebly still be right:
* Sirius System, Tau Ceti System and Lagrange Singularity (A wormhole thing)
since I am theory crafting, what if:
Lagrange Singularity was this chapter that SS is making now?
They skipped the Sirius System and Tau Ceti System to go into the Lagrange Singularity right now because of the heavy complaints?
2 IF's that might have happend, and I think happend, lets make a small list of what might have happend in Sirius and Tau Ceti:
* Sirius was speculated to be the place from the ancients, if the mantis queen was already planned to be killed then it is likely that the mantis would go to sirius too, maybe by stealing the artifact from Carl Sagan, and in Sirius trying to find the ancient technology to keep the mantis race from failing. Lets imagin you beat them, then you might get a chip to :
* Tau Ceti where the Methanoids are in war with the mantis too, as it's often said, Draconis meths are from the Draconis Methanoid Colony, check the storyline and names in descriptions, you would see that would be true, Tau Ceti was speculated to be the home of methanoids, Tau Ceti IV, there home planet. Maybe if you did something there the scientists of carl sagan and the meths would create a wormhole there and use it to go to Lagrange Singularity.
Binds together pretty well, but what if (as I said earlier), SS skipped both of them and gone to the Singularity idea immediatly. There would be some gaps in lore if that happend, so they combined Sirius (which should fill up the gaps) and Lagrange Singularity (which was a planned chapter of PG with total new things) to create Sirius Singularity.
And that people might be whats coming.
I find it an interesting idea, also because SS should have planned this idea right after Draconis, not that strange as the last big update (pretty small actually) was the CQ thing with Gravitons! Gravitons would bring back Carl Sagan, Carl Sagan would be scientific and create the unstable wormhole in which they just launched a probe that leads to Sirius Singularity. Sirius Singularity will have new enemies and the mantis that are trying to get their queen back, new technologies, new kind of star system idea.
But one thing I would like to know, what about Tau Ceti? I don't care about the Sirius System, we didn't know that much about it and it would be very easy to change the idea of a ancient home system to a Singularity of strange forces, wouldn't create a big hole in lore and story. But what would is leaving out Tau Ceti, it's like having a pie with 10 fruits and cutting out half of each, you would miss each half of a pie with fruits on it, it would be easier just to cut out 1 fruit totally, that wouldn't make you miss a half, because there wasn't a source either. (that was a very bad example).
So can we have in some way Tau Ceti?
I got a little idea: make methanoid pirates into the sirius singularity, they would be enemies and in a storyline you would get a chip to Tau Ceti,
Tau ceti would be entered trough the old stargate and tau ceti could be re-added, yeah!
