Well done SS, you have fallen into the trap that Bungie did with reach... I would have thought with the recent failure of that game you would think twice anbout doing exactly the same thing?
What is this trap? Only catering for the die hard players. You actually listened to the people who wanted it harder because they finished too early and so were waiting for draconis on the week of the sol release. A little advice.... No matter what you do, these players will always finish really fast... They play so many hours a day that they can put in the same gameplay in a week as i do in 3 months. There is nothing you can do to stop the addicts finishing the game super fast.
The new system has been built for these people.... You have attempted to stall them whilst you think of your next system/game. It hasn't worked, the addicts are already on the last Sm's, but what it has done is ****ed off a lot of the people who liked the game, but did not dedicate their life to it.
If youve noticed, Halo Reach is only played by the MLG and try-hard gaming group, its been deserted by EVERYONE else. This game is going down the same route. People like a challenge, but theres a difference between a challenge and something thats just plain annoying.
In my opinion.... Post if you agree or disagree with any of this...
PM 2.0 is bad.
Draconis is bad.
The mission reward system sucks.
The CQ system is a ******* ***** **** **** **** **** **** **** melon.
The clan alliance system is bad.
The CQ reward system is bad.
The repair droid sucked (idk if its been improved)
The SM's are uninteresting.
Draconis seems unfinished.
I remember the days when people were vaguely friendly, and helpful... Yes these players do exist still, but i see a lot more
"stop stealing kills"
"these are my harvs"
"cry stealer"
"will someone help me with (easy mission)"
The community doesnt seem as genuinely friendly as it used to be, and as you said in your "on behalf of the Gm team" post, You have a lot of complaints... I swear that there never used to be as many complaints because the players were satisfied with the game.... If you are getting so many complaints the perhaps you should consider that it probably means that you are annoying the players, which will cause them to leave.
So... A word of warning... building your game around the "hardcore" audience never works, especially if the game was never for them in the first place. So, good luck to all the people who are struggling on with the game, it is no longer worth my time to play.
This WAS my favourite game, ever. Mainly due to the mazing communtity and support from GM's, but the last few updates you guys have seriously shot yourselves in the foot. Ill be checking the patchlog occasionally, but untill a decent update, bye.
