Are you kidding me whit this steering system, i dont know if im coming or going, im all over the map, if this is going in game it might just be over for me, i find it wery hard to steer the ship im just jurking around like i dont know were im going or the ship turns left and right whitout moving foward (in battle).
The flow of flying left and right (zig zag) wile moving foward is gone.
I also dont see the need to be able to be stop when not pressing W, so i float around and get poded ...fine, if people need to be AFK go to orbit or log off.

ps. forgott to mension that this feature is on the PTR but will be ingame on the 26.

yeah i don't see the point in the new steering system either...it just makes the game awkward, it has no use. SS don't ruin another perfectly good part of the game, PLEASE!

Forget part, The game will be so deserted if this happens. In fact, they do this, I might not have to worry about resigning as Lead Wiki Master... The game will go offline that quickly.

yep if they do this it will make controlling our ships all but impossible, just leave the steering system the way it is, why do the devs even want to change it in the first place? i'm definitely leaving the game if that steering system comes in...

-you are right about the steering system. -my problem was that when you try to move to the left or right, the ship moves forward at the same time:! -try to find a (safe and big place, and see how your ship react when you only press A or D or the arrow keys. -i´m afraid that there are still work for the developers to do?
-EDIT- -i always have "intelligent" camera on. -i like to be right behind my ship, so that i can see what´s comming up in front of me. (as soon as it will be visible)

Can you please be more specific what is bad?

Currently we have a bug that the automatic camera following function of "intelligent camera" is not working once you rotate camtera with the mouse it does not go on follow mode again.
We have another bug that if you target something and steer afterwards the follow target mode does not get disabled this leads to you fighting against the ship in which direction to fly.

I have a question for all the players that have a problem with the new system, did you have intelligent camera rotation enabled or disabled.

i think the new steering system just don't works, it reacts to slow and it's anoyign that you can only fly in 8 directions.

I like the New Steering System but it doesn't have that feel like it did with the old version, i like were ur AFK u just float, so noone knicks ur E lol so it needs alot of improvments

We found another problem of player. Flying forward while watching back with the old system was done by using w+camera rotation. With the new steering you simply have to use s to fly forward and look back. You can even steer to the right and left without having to move the kamera again to adjust.

sayyadin, thats not the problem, it just works like hell, maybe we need to adjust, but its annoying to fly like this.

What is the problem just speak it out, with the new steering you can do much more stuff that you could not do before.

My intelligent camera is enabled and the most probs gone atm, but the ship isnt flyin as smoothly as it was before. With that i mean the reaction time is way to slow other things works fine.

However it is impossible to play with a azerty keypboard without a extended numpad. u have to cross ur fingers in difficult ways and its not possible to steer the ship and fight at same time cause of hard controlling difficulties of the ship

Sure i am willing to try the sreering out more i was only on it about 10 min and gave up, i did not change any setting like the intel camera.
what i found most difficult was to sirkle the enemy while shooting him if i tryed that (holding down A and W at the same time) the ship stopped and pointed(looked) to left and right like it was trying to deside where to go, that was wery anoing.
PS. more testing needed on my behalf.

seems there are more negative responses than positive. In which case the minority will get the vote. Simply because time and money were spent (and wasted) on a method that really didn't need any improvement. Once developed I have noticed that it is unlikely that, whther for good or bad, developers are prepared to turn the clock back. Best get used to the new control method or leave. Which i will. The forum should be a place for feedback and where players (read customers) give their responses. It is like a suggestions/visitors book. However, most businesses take on-board what is written. here, if it ain't postive, it ain't registered.

The new system feels really horrible, probably due to not turning on the spot , I thought it would be the same as the old system but when you're not pressing anything you don't move.

no information? they're giving you PLENTY of information! the new steering system SUCKS! it's impossible to control our ships now, on 8 points of rotation instead of the old system. It just makes the controls VERY awkward and almost impossible to contol. Why couldn't you have just left it the way it was, but just put the function that the ship stops when no button is pressed in, why did you have to screw with the way the ships actually fly? this game is quickly going from bad to worse...i GARUNTEE that if you launch this update without putting the old steering method in, though you can keep the stop function, that even more players will leave. Me included.

I read this forum daily, to see whats new etc in the PG world, most of which i find of interest, but am completely discussed by this statement by Sayyadin.

I do not come on this forum to read comments with foul language and moderators such as Adrana do there best to keep this in check, but when a Splitscreen Product Manager uses the same expleted language that others have been banned for, then something is seriously wrong.

Now I'm sure some of you will have something to say about this in support of Sayyadin, but frankly I do not care, there is not one rule for one and another for others period!!.

Splitscreen must appear to remain professional at all times, even if things are getting a little stressed.

So less of the profanity please and stay professional.

• You need to have 1 hand for pressing w, a, s and d.

• You need a second hand for operating the mouse because u no longer move the camera with the keyboard so u cant tell where your going unless u have your hand on the mouse moving the camera at all times(yes u can angle it to birds eye view but that looks like

  rubbish.).

• Then u need to have a third hand, using either the number pad(its now to hard to fly your ship and use the normal number keys), a touch screen monitor, or a second mouse with a modified version of windows with 2 cursors and 2 mouse inputs(yes it would be illegal to modify it in such a way i know).

Now, anyone with a third hand please speak up because i don't see any other way of doing it without dieing when trying to fly and shoot at the same time.

So if you fix that

problem so those of us who aren't deformed and only have 2 hands can still play, should be a good patch(with the exception of needing to spend 2 months now to build a single blue bp... but thats another story).

Yes i fully expect to get banned for this. No i do not care as i have given up on this game. Yes i do find it hilarious that a Product Manager broke the forum rules and yes i have reporter it (LOL he wont get banned or even spoken to, this is a dictatorship)
