Heya,
Just a question..If I got pirate mode on and I'm shooting a mantis and someone comes along and 1 shots it and steals the rare from it, who has pirate mode off of course, how can this be fair. I just find its ridiculous in a pirate game where pirates cant defend their stuff nor fight over booty!

Hmm.. would be a cool concept if 2 people clicked on a bp before allowing you to collect it should pop up a box saying "do you want to fight for this item yes or no" and if both click yes then you literally have to fight for it until someone pods or moves out of range. Too radical?

This is absolutely brilliant!!! However, there should be some clear rules for those of us who usually prefer PVE. Technically speaking, who's kill is it? The first shot or last shot? What happens when the person that one shot it is so much stronger than the other so as to basically be a no contest either way? There needs to be a mode of operation such that someone who wants strictly PVE can operate independent from everyone else. For instance, if the first shot "claims" the mantis for someone, i.e. makes it their kill, then someone like me in a squadron by my self with PM off will be the only one to see the drop regardless of who shoots it after I take first shot. Make sense? XP can still be split as usual and this PVE mode would only affect cry and BP drops. Otherwise, as one of the GMs has said previously, in this post or some other, be the quicker person to pick up the BP and suck it up when pirates steal your BPs.

Yes ok about that .
But again what will hapen ?
People who loves fighting Pvp are going to fly around shooting at all they see 1 shot and junping to every one who is collecting (and not only rare collecting)
So the question should be told to the hunters and not the well calle him thief.

The Fist shot ´´claims´´ the mantis for, say, 3 seconds. If he stops shooting after that, or if someone else shoot during the same time, the second one can see the drop.

Why don't you just move to the BP as soon as it drops and start picking it up?!? No one is able to steal my BP because I'm always there collecting it first. The trick is to stop using the WASD keys to move around when killing mantis. It isn't any better than just auto following the mantis which means that when you kill the mantis target you are right beside the BP.
