hey guys, ichor here ive rescently had a discussion with GM taucon and a few players in sol. it was about things we found to be kind of annoying in game. when i logged off i made a list of all the ideas that i had that would make this game alot more fun to play.
so my brother walks up to me and asks "what happens when you finish all the SMs, get all the BPs, finish every last little thing, players would be bored and eventually quit?"
this got me thinking as well as the conversation i had in game so here they are
Meet the devs day/s or week
taucon said that this would be a good idea, since no offence to the gms, but they are simply "law inforcment" that can only give sugestions to the devs. the only way to tell the devs what WE want, their paying customers is to meet them. other than astreus we have never ever seen a developer in game, the evidence of this is obvious, when draconis opened up the game was nearly unplayable. when sirius opened up, all players demanded change, they did not give "lots of constructive feedback" unless yoy consider constructive feedback as saying how much it sucked
. so yeah it would be nice to meet the devs, but taucon said that it would be hard to plan it because everyone works and is online at different time. ok well instead of looking for reasons not to do it, you should find a way to do it.
if the devs are smart enough to program a 3d java powered space MMO then they are smart enough to do some schedualing, am i right?
conlcusion: (for those who dont want to read that) we would like to meet the devs,all of them, to tell them what we want, and to avoide them releasing something no one likes and them having to change it...again

the way this game is structured is that there will be a point were there will be no reson for a person to play it because they finished everything, solution? MORE STUFF TO DO!
MORE CQ MODES- this would include stuff like siege, were the owners of a planet have to defend a series of structures for a certain ammount of time while the attackers have to destroy the structurs. ballancing would have to happen but you get the gist of it. also CTF, 2 flags, anyone who has teh flag is marked red on everyone's radar. first one with 3 captures (mayb more) wins the planet. also VIP, remember the old cq system? were when cq ships podded the clan lost? kinda like that. along with standard cq (with the bases and all) it would be nice to see some changes in a somewhat bland clan pvp system. when a clan is apposed the clan and allies take a vote on what they want (or its picked randomly and they can veto it). that would be nice to see (side not) it would bee nice to get more than gravitons when winning cqs, like a cry bonus? like the good old days =)
SURVIVAL MODES- probobly a planet that lets people fight wave after wave of mantis? in squads or alone it would be nice to bring in a survival mode aspect into the game. there could be leader boards too, like when you start a racing wm it states the current record holder. but when you start a survival mode it states the current record holder for that system tech.
MORE WHITE MISSIONS(dynamic) - ss went in the right direction when they aded the racing missions and the energy colector missions. it would be nice to have more dynamic missions like that.
squad boosters
i dont think ss knew what they did when they changed the bp booster rules. its alot harder to help lower level players when youve got the best 30 day booster running. so simply put there should be squad boosters.
30 days incresed bp drop chance for person who purchased it by 75% and all persons in the squad bp drop-chance are increased by 40%, something like that.
non story planets
grinding planets, just planets with enemies. they could make it were bps dont drop on this planet, and its used for xp grinding and cry grinding. would be nice to be on planets were people arent doing wms or sms. even nicer to have more grinding spots
crash podding
its not our fault when the game crashes and we pod then loose cry. it would take TONS of coding and programming, but whenever a crash report is sent, the cry that the player looses is sent back to their cry ammount.
stuck in space flight
ever been stuck in the star system with the timer at 00:00? i know why this is, if you take a look at the ammount needed for a hyperjump thats the real ammount you need to stay in flight. so if you see you have a 1:30 flight, but you need 4000 energy to hyperjump...chances are that your gonna be stuck in the starmap for about...6 minutes (for a drac player). its basicly visual lag, and an old and annoying bug. one player can see earth very close to the rebel starbase, but another whos on at the same time and same server, may see it across the system. thats why i think ss should make it like the sirius system were everything is on a set timed path, to avoid the annoying stuck in flight.

it was fun, also global cry protect for a weekend, i wonder why they took this away sometimes
MoAr EVENTS!!!
remember the earth GM invasion led by gringrok? super fun, but no epic events happen anymore. notice that gringrok said hell be back in march...but nothing happened. i wish they would do more events, not just invasions but more cool events like the earth invasion and the official races
PVP planets
tired of being told not to be at the lz red? well why not a pvp planet system? ther could be a 1v1 planet system, squad and clan/alliance planet were it would act like the battle planet (no names or color patterns on enemy ships). there could also be tournaments and prizes liek boosters and stuff
cry for achivments?
i find them usless to do, but if there was a little cry sum involved then that would interest alot more plaers to do them
BP STATS
wouldnt you like to know how much dammage you blaster does? there should be a stat system for the bps in this game. would be very nice to have
sirius storyline!
bet the devs didnt realize that when the next system comes out players can move imidietly from draconis to the next system. completly skipping sirius(and thefore skippig bps and leveling). there is no obligation to go to sirius, so i think there should be a storyline. each ring would have 2-4 sms, say you do a methanoid planet sm, to continue the storyline you have to not only advance to the next ring, but be on a planet with methanoids, same for pirates.
so thats all for now, i hope, I HOPE the devs see this and highly consider this, but i dont speak for all players. if they want this game get game rewards 2012...there gonna have to speak to the players, not just the private beta testers and see what they want. because there was a reason it did not get game rewards the past two years.
to the devs, SPEAK TO YOUR CUSTOMERS! its the only way you will succeed with this game!
