I have seen this happen only while collecting something. It might possibly only happen if you accidentally double click the item. Double clicking on an e-ball will automatically trigger your collector I think. This might also apply if you double click on a mantis, you may fire automatically.

-it`s a new problem, but it seems to have eased out. -i was afraid that it was another permanent change to the worse. -i tried to disable dobbelclick in setup, but i dont know if that was the solution?:)

I can only think of 3 possible reasons for this:

  1. Seems like it could be a lag issue with the client catching up with your actions.
  2. Did you know that when you double click on an enemy you will select him and attack? If you double click on an energy orb you will select and auto collect.
  3. Maybe your mouse is giving up on you and you need a new one. I had a situation that i was playing very popular FPS shooting game, that my mouse began to automatically double click every time i clicked the mouse. Ended up shooting friendlies in the back all the time.

-ok, delloda;) -i couldn`t get the client to work proberly, so i play by my IEbrowser and use the gamigoentrance in order to play in full screen. -and i got a very fine mouse, but mostly use the touchpad on my laptop:) -and i don`t think that i have had serious lag for a long time now, but solaria are somehow loading slow. -lets see what happens?:)

OK, I just had my blasters do this for the first time. I tried out double clicking on an e-ball to test the double-click theory and true, it autoselects and starts to collect, but the collector charges and discharges as normal. When this 'bug" does it, the collector is grayed out and collecting. I think that the two are unrelated. Also, when the blaster one did it, I had just selected a mantis and it autoblasted, BUT the blasters were grayed out, not like normal. Again, I do not think this is a case of double-click automation since the bug one has the device grayed out not like in normal operation. Honestly, this hasn't presented a problem for me, but possibly might if you click on a red while you are PM and you accidentally fire at them. They probably wouldn't understand that it is a bug lmao.

yp same here dont think its a mouse issue, cause when u dubble click the collectin does its normal routine, but when this"bug" happens the icon stays grey, and i think this isnt so normal, well i try to take a screenie if it happens and if i dont forget it :D

Mine is not normally grayed out when it collects. It is still pink/red, but once it finishes it is grayed out while it cools down. Notice even the little green bars to the sides are grayed out also. This IS the bug that is being talked about. I have seen it on collector and on blasters, nothing else so far.

Chas88

I should clarify my above statement. It is not normally grayed out while there is a valid collectible target selected. It is grayed out pink/red when there is no valid collectible target selected, just like my rockets and blasters are grayed out since I cannot shoot the e ball and thus have no valid target selected that I can fire at.

Here is what it looks like normal ...
