OK, I am not sure if this is a bug or maybe an update thing. I can remember on most planets before Sol opened when you were fighting a rocketeer and he fired a rocket, but you kill him before his rocket hit you, the rocket would disappear and would do no damage. Now, I am camped out on the lvl 57 hill on the Moon, and when I kill a rocketeer that has just fired a rocket, the rocket disappears, but after a few seconds, BLAM, I am pounded by yet another damage from the invisible rocket. This is similar to the pyro thermo, when you are on fire and kill the pyro, the flame goes out and stops causing damage. Any ideas? If possible, I would prefer it to be back how it was that the rocket goes away along with the rocketeer when you kill it.

Thanks

The thermoblast sends beams of plasma or positrons from the firing ship to yours, so it would be logical for it to stop. Rockets, however, probably have their own targeting systems and shouls hit you even if the firing ship is dead.

Well then that is ok, however, why does your ship continue to burn when you are way out of pyro range? Perhaps everything should be made consistent? In this case then as soon as you are out of pyro range you stop burning. How many of us have podded by fire long after we AB away from the pyro?? I kind of thought about it as the firing ship was maintaining control of the rocket and guiding it rather than a heat seeker type rocket.

The Thermoblast animation should be changed so that you see a beam extending from the shooting ships.
