If you want rare keep shooting mantis and will drop. If some players have time to kill 6-10 hours/day they get more chances to see a rare, but even if you kill 2-3 hours/day you still have a chance for a rare. So stop complaining and kill mantis.

If that's not what you meant, do fill me in. I do not understand how you would get rares other than the system presently in place. You kill mantis, you get normal bps, thus a rare bp would come from mantis rarely, in the same manner... No?

what i think he means is that u need to have the full set of BPs b4 the rare is more likly to drop for you. And if there was a game Blackjack in the game, then i wouldn't waste any cry

It depends on how you look at it, when I am searching for a rare it can be a real drag to kill nothing for a few weeks and wonder if you are going to get it. Thats the way it is though.

I have found more rares not looking for them though and its great when one appears when you wasn't expecting it.

At the end of the day though its just a game, so just enjoy it.

yh its just a game and a game is supposed to be fun isnt it. ok its nice the rares exist but there has to be a more fun way of finding them. maybe anyone else can come up with something to make it more fun.

How about a pvp event where the winner gets to choose a rare bp as his/her prize?
Maybe a race around a planet, where players can slow each other down with stunners? Adding an event where the prize is a rare would let people have fun, and get the rare they need.

No disrescpect but how others supposed to choose rares to get when I am the one winning all of the events atm?

i like the idea hoppo, i think you should copy it to the event topic and let the gms look at it. and it might sound unfair to you razzorkill but maybe a rule when you won the previous event you cant compete in the next event.
so like you win the first race, you cant compete in the second race and back in the third race so no one dominates the events.( only if the prize is the same like a rare).

I "worked" (played) damn hard to get all in-game rares. Paid hard cash for boosters and extra e as well. I resent that finding rares should be made easier. You want them? Put in the effort! Find a method (there are several). With the exception of some rares (MMB, SSB for example) rares will drop from ANY rank mantis. In these cases don't go for higher level, it does not guarantee more chace of a rare drop. Choose a planet where there is a lot of activity (more players=more kills=more bp drops=higher chance of rare drop). The negative side of this means that it may not drop for you (there is the luck factor). Alternatively, choose a planet with little activity, stock up on e, hold your station and kill like crazy.

Don't forget to relog occasionally. It DOES help.
In the early stages of rare hunting choose a spot where you can kill several mantis types to increase the chances of a rare drop. Only later in-game when you are looking for those that you have missed does it become more random and therefore more frustrating (especially in cases where 1 particular mantis type drops a variety of rares).

If you think this is just make-believe here is a case in point. Last night between cq's (45 mins) i was asked by a clan-mate to help find Mizar Thermo. My first ds kill dropped Mizar rockets (in all likelihood someone had been bashing away all day for them so the luck factor was there. My squad member had orbitted and was heading for cq while I decided to push it to the limit. Bingo. Mizar Thermo. Persistence pays (and of course a booster helps

I remember myself, the Hyper boys, Agent007 (to name but a few) were hunting incessantly for gemini perforator only to determine that it had been omitted from the game. Once rectified it dropped easily.

Remember, the higher the system, the harder the rare.

And a little known fact, if you drop an unwanted rare and do not collect it then your chances of dropping more are reduced because you have waved two fingers at Fate, Luck and the Gods of Gold (actually that's not true but a supersticion of mine...lol)

i understand why your maybe a little upset but new things will get into the game. look at the memberships how many ppl didnt buy e spend a big amount of money and now you can get unlimited e for like 20 bucks.
and i dont know about you but when i play a game i want fun, for those who are gonna post the famous sentence rares arent nessecary. they can make the difference in a pvp so means they can make a difference in cq means it can mean the difference between owning planet or not.
i dont say it should get easier just more fun.

No luck or time, no looking for rares. Pretty simple. But as someone else has already said, they are only essential for the people with OCD's (Obsessive Completion Disorder, not the other one lol).
