"(c) Threats: A threat is an act of coercion wherein an act is proposed to elicit a negative response. It is a communicated intent to inflict harm or loss on another person. Threats made towards another Pilot will not be tolerated. This will result in immediate Jailing of 1 Week & Possible Ban of All Pilot Accounts"

this is taken from the CoC 1.8.1

Does this mean if i say : "Stop shoot my targets and take my loot or i call my clan here to pod you." will get me jailed?
This certainly needs clarification and if it is meant the way i did read it. I think this rule has to be overseen and perhaps corrected? We are after all pirates :p

No Heriiwax, this is real life, and personal threats.
Like for example: If you don't stop podding me, I'll hack your account, or
I go and do some bad to you/your family etc.
Or just telling: I know where you live.

You understand it now?

many things in CoC i noticed require clarifications even for the "lawyers" amongst us imagine how understood the CoC is by a player tht just learned to say "dada" (mind u i know of no age limit in pg if u get the idea im hinting at)
maybe some examples as Adrana posted would clarify many a sitution. also b clear not only regular players sometimes seems confused by some of these texts but also persons tht should b watching the players and applying such texts like GMs.
u may say so what they human and make mistakes tht is true but due to unclear texts a chain effect of false statements and rumours may start + extra unnecessary workload for support and GMs . i notice many things get lost in translation from german but still if the purose of listing CoC is to clarify rules ingame i think it fails in some aspects.(but i guess may b better than nothing)

so in end efect i think if u add some real game examples to the rules may b understood by more but should b centralised and grouped accessible for all individual responses on threads i dont think help if somebody tries to look up something .forum is chaotic as is (1/2 page seems be filled with some stickies and hard to find last post or new posts etc. but maybe its just me tht doesnt get THIS forums structure)
worst thing is having to look for an "official" thread when server is down unforseen for example. other games give informing players on not being at least log in more priority maybe. nvm tht even i sometimes have problems even finding CoC.

I know Adrana, I made a joke here. I'm quite familiar with ingame threats since PG aint the only online game that I've played with rules against such actions. COC is more-less the same on all games ;)
