just out of curiosity i went and checked the ships that ppl were using because we someone tracking otb stats in askone and i found some interesting stats
i know for a fact full griffon doesnt work cus we had multiple Clan vs clan conquests vs one clan which i wont name on Gaia where they had Conquest ship+1vq and then 8 griffons and it didnt help them , i'm just saying that Griffon is for sure one of those criminally overused ships in Askone OTB
Two things, first I'm surprised at how it seems (or that's the impression I get) that in askone they barely use traditional engineers, pitchstone, constructor, even onyx I dare say, only the heron by pure miracle, it's not surprising that the griffon gets to abuse so much because they barely carry ships that support others, secondly I was also in that gaia cq you mentioned, and yes, it was terrifying how nothing those 9 griffons did, I hope no one says an actually about anyone to say "cvc is different"

Yep, thats why context matters right, as Jackal rightly mentioned the lack of aoe makes griffon propotionally worse in aurora/gaia where cq is easily reaching 15v15/25v25 respesctively vs askone where is usually less than 9v9.

As for why people dont use engi i cant explain with full certainty but i guess its probably cus the cq is small so it create different environment.

So a problem in askone is not a problem in aurora/gaia necessarily

The problem is that although in AoE it is very weak, even if they are small conquests (5-9) we have had bad days in aurora where we have those quantities, and that is what I tell you, we take out a couple of engis, cormortans, poenaris and that's it, the vulture can be dealt with, what worries me is that it is people from askone who are complaining that the vulture is the antichrist, when the devs always take their opinion into consideration (wrong opinion btw) and you only have to see that there are 463513651651 classes in the game and cqs is full tunnel vision of ''what vulture do I take today, the vulture with red paint, the one with blue paint, the one with one with strong blaster instead of rapid blaster''

What would u suggest we do to make the griffon use rate go back down, you would suggest us to use cormorant and poenari more often?
Just to be clear, i dont disagree with anything you said but i also want concrete suggestions and from what i'm getting from your post it seems like it would be just use poenari and cormorant

Engis also, of course, if you're going to take cormorants that have to deal with vultures, you need a good support, not just herons, and when I talk about poenaris for example, in a small cq like askone's I think taking more than 1 is absolute trolling, if you take a cormorant you have a second stun charge

Maybe the rise of griffon vulture use has more to do with recently concluded RDX event. Its a relatively new ship, and after couple of months the ship variety should stabilize in Conquests.
And regarding the thread topic, as most of us are aware the RDX ship itself cannot be touched. We can only balance its items but keep in mind this affects every other ship that has some of those items :)

PSA: taunt's anti heal effect was reduced by 15% today. Hopefully that's enough to play a few engineers again and nudge down the griffon...

The Anti-heal was 25% on normal one, now will be only 10%? And the damage increase how much will it be? This is too much nerf, put like 7 ~ 10%.
Nerf should be a fair reduction and not a death to this component that previously had no use outside PVE and when it becomes useful they want it dead again?

Another thing is that game is very lacking in information (numbers), to have an exact knowledge of, for example, the damage reduction effect on the Allies Cover, the range-cutting effect of the Scope Shifter, how much damage you receive using the Attack Charge, etc. And its Long/Strong variations

At least no nerf for grifon so far :ROFLMAO: :
  • Taunt Effect Strength for damage increase and repair reduction reduced by ~15%
  • OMG
    • Prices have doubled for almost all Sirius Ancient items (pricing was flat out wrong).
    • Come on who give that idea ? now need pay 200k for items ? :ROFLMAO:
