Thx SplitScreen for make the OS detonation speed faster by 33% :D

Already gave up pvping with sniper but now I get new hope hehe, already tryed it on signor at moon who got same fly speed as us and he always get hit now :)

pls don't make it longer again hehe, think this is the perfect timing from avoiding it and not so also fun for non sniper players who pvp snipers. I won't say don't make it even more faster, still like the instant blast XD (think it was make longer because its an heavy weapon and so to prevent make it to destructive) but to make it more fair I agree with this speed.

as how I see it now:
-thermo-blast: do nice damage but its scattered over some seconds, not avoidable but rd stops it from getting your hp down, can be postive or negative action
-aggrobomb: do nice damage too but its damage is dealed over 1 blast, avoidable with ab or not fly close to ship
-orbital strike: do nice damage and also deals damage over 1 blast, avoidable with ab and maybe with a move trick (haven't tryed that yet)

or just use shield or protect if an engi or tank to prevent take damage from those weapons but storms perfo will not stop for them ;)

Just to correct you, engineer shield does not avoid the OS strike, it kills the shield, and hit half health of engii, if not all.
It has always been weak, and should really get some stronger armor in order to be able to help Squad mates & etc. when needed. But most of the time the helper helps, but ends up in a pod themselves, and also whilst as for example in Hive they start to mat someone, Engii get podded at the cost of reviving other player to life.
The efforts of an Engineer should really be highly respected and appreciated.

Engii also consumes lots of more e, and on hard tasks also lost lots of cry if they have no cry vault protection when they try to keep others alive.
I have seen with time, a lack of the squad members protecting the engii, and mostly they are on their own.

In old times that was different.

Storm Rocket Blast is good if using the best of system, and even better if using the rares.

Tank Aggro is very efficient, used a lot on Aggro attacks to the held bases on Cq's, and is very popular, and works every time.

Stun charge and Stun dome on Shocks, are good, but avoidable when someone ab away.

All ship types has it's pros and contras, and with good and clear feedback maybe that could be changed & corrected just as the OS strike.

hmm didn't know also engi self could take damage even if protect was on

But as you said engi could have more hp, think 120 or 130 hp (using the numbers at the hypers guide)
I didn't like it when they remove the abillity of engis to give players support outside squad because that was a really good thing from engineers.

the e usage is high from them, I've gem engi only but that one lose e really fast when doing protect missions or just protect a player. Maybe they could give engi an matt support protect that atomatic get on when engi matts and player (maybe that special shield is twice as stronger as the normal protect) but also get off when matt is done.

hmm about cry lose when pod, think it wouldn't be fair if the lose nothing but maybe just the half of normal price. (or that only works when engi is doing missions to prevent cheating things)


Hope SplitScreen could make polls here on forum if the wanna change tech so give people the change to give there feedback about it and so can SS, so it isn't like now just put and patch in game and then get loads of bad comments (or maybe even we as players can give them some tips or some good ideas ;) )

the protector/shield will absorb the damage, but not 100%, but maybe 99.20-99,85%

this is not really treu :) engineers are atually pretty good if items are used correctly! when i had engineer i could fly hive solo and in squad 2 and dint get podded while my parsec mates did.... :mrorange:

as i know with npc u can cancel their os damage no matter how great even if u have 1 line on shield/protector (i think game mechanics are same wih pvp) the damage size doesnt matter it still gets expended on shields first and all the other following hits after shields are down hit ur hp. (so no one "normal instant" damage can take shields/protectors down + hp;exceptions are piercing through or thermo tht lingers after shields are down)
and since a protector is full every 25 seconds it can b used quite efectively against os. i used such looking for signor golds on hive cause sometimes lazy or impractical to move or just wanted my protector timer reset.

maybe thts wht he meant by countering os with protector in above statement.
