On the hunt for the "Bold Stripes" color pattern.

Hey guys,

Been trying to get the Mantis Eliminators Rank 8 on Axiom to drop the "Bold Stripes" pattern. But after killing several tens of elminators (maybe a hundred), all I've ever gotten was some Cry. All the other Mantis groups drop their common BPs after a short amount of hunting but I've never once seen a BP drop from the Mantis Eliminators Rank 8.

The Wiki says that it should drop from Mantis Elimantors Rank 8 (and the older page that is linked to the color pattern name shows Rank 6 but those drop the Enhanced Ion Blaster now.)

So is this color pattern a broken BP drop? If so I hope they can fix it soon.

Best chance is to check a lot of areas. It's possible that the rank 7 drops this blueprint since I haven't checked after they changed the drops around from the highest ranks of axiom drop the colors and lowers the weapons.

Nope, Mantis Eliminators - Rank 7 drop the "Navy" common BP which I already got from them.
Also, Mantis Eliminators - Rank 5 and Rank 6 drop the same common BP which is the Enhanced Ion Blaster.
(I checked this when I noticed I couldn't get the "Bold Stripes" common BP to drop.)

All of the Rank 5/6 Mantis drop the same common BP for their corresponding armament (scouts - afterburners, eliminators - ion blasters, sentinels - collectors.)
Rank 7s have one series of Color Patterns - Flames, Hearts, Navy.
Rank 8s are suppose to have the second series of Color Patterns - Front Color, Tiger, Bold Stripes.
Also Rank 8 Mantis Sentinels drop the Gold/Yellow Rare BP (which took forever to drop but I did get them) for the Colonial Jet rare ship.

All of the above I can confirm (since I got them with my new Pilot.)

I'll try again tonight but I don't hold out hope for them to drop anything but Cryonite.

I guess Bold Stripes is bugged or drops on the second location of Eliminators as there are 2, that one by the volcano and one by a building. I can remember that those by the Volcano dropped the bold stripes.

Here is a map of Axiom and I found out you're right.

Only one area of Mantis Eliminators - Rank 8 seem to drop the "Bold Stripes" common BP. It's strange considering how many areas of Mantis Eliminators there actually are.


The red circles are areas of Mantis Eliminators - Rank 8 that I attacked several times and never got a BP drop.
The yellow circle is the one area of Mantis Eliminators - Rank 8 that I only attacked 5 or 6 ships and it dropped.

Thanks for the tip about the lava (volcano) areas. I tried the far one to the south and then I tried the one to the north. Finally got the "Bold Stripes" bp.

Guess it's bugged.
