Hello Developers,
Since PG has gone through various technology concepts that had to be ever more fantastic than the previous weapon technology I was wondering whether you haven't ran out of ideas yet.
You have brought us the powers of Ions, fusion, antimatter and zero point energy. What exotic concepts might possibly top these?
Here two crazy suggestion.
Weapon technology based on SUSY-Theory
Supersymmetry (SUSY) is a theoretical extension to the standard model of particle physics and predics the existence of superpartners, so-called sparticles (read 's'-particles), that partner every known matter (fermion) and force particle (boson) we know. Only, they are heavier-mass versions (we are talking TeV scale!) and the spin always differs by 1/2, hence, the sparticle of a fermion is a boson and the sparticle of a boson is a fermion.
If science could generate a dense pulse of, say, photinos (sparticle of the photon) target it at any matter (or antimatter) object, the decay products of the super-heavy photino might just be hot enough to form an instable state of quarc-gluon-plasma, which would instantly desintegrate the target at its sub-atomic level...
BOOOM !
Weapon technology based on KK-Theory
The assumption of hidden curled-up extra dimension beyond our 4D-world leads to the existence of Kaluza-Klein particles. These are partners of the particles that physicists know of but they get their momentum from those extra dimensions, and thus, would look to us like super-heavy mass particles.
A weapon conceived from KK-particles could overcome the critical energy-density necessary to unfold the extra dimensions with absolutely devastating consequences not just to the target aimed at but all space-time around it, too. When atoms and objects begin to slip into the opened up higher dimensions they simply cease to exist in our world..
