ususualy ppl would see from me ship ideas like the Heavy Gunship :p well these are a Few more ships to wrap ur tounges around ^^

Mobile Artillery:

Over the many years humans have used many sorts of Artillery, ususaly Mobile vehciles the unit fits many roles such as Long-Ranged Bombardment and also in the Anti-Tank role. Mobile Artillery hasn't changed except for one thing, they can't fire from afar without getting shot at so they were fitted out to hunt Armoured Units but also has weak Armour.

Mobile Shield Ship:

The Mobile Shield ship has been in use since 2050 and it's role hasn't changed, these ships are able to unleash a Sheild capabal of protecting an Entire sqaud, it's only weaknes is that it only protects against 75% of incoming projectiles.

Frigate:

The Frigate is the largest ship capable of entering a planet as the much larger Destroyers and Battleships would not with stand the Gravity Influx due to there mass. The Frigate is also capable of unleashing heavy firepower with the reduction of Speed meaning that they must have Heavier armour to not fall pray to enemy Fighters and Bombers alike.

Please leave ur coments about the idea and add ur own :p

Frigate, eh capital ship you mean ;) ok love frigate idea as space games need Capital Ships! :mrorange: Of course it needs some weaknesses so...Stun Dome and Charge have increased effect on it and it is noticalbly slow so thus can be outrun. Strenths would obviously be more fire power and armor so thus uses more energy BUT can also hold more energy thanks to its size.

MSS (Shield Ship) Ok, basically an engineer with a field protechtor, I LIKE IT! :mrorange: Peraphs a X-version of the Engineer? Idk, sounds like it could be abused even with 75% deflection, its definatly weak Vs Storm.

MA (Artillery) Hmm.... Interesting Idea, weakness: short range units, rockets, cant use Artillery at Short range, slow moving, weak armor, can damage allies, use lots of energy, have hard time hitting ships moving and changing direction as they dont have an Aim Computer (Peraphs a Baltic Rocket Launcher Ship for Lock on "Artillery"?). Strenths: Long Range Shooter, good support ships (if ur good at avoiding smashing your own ships), hard to attack from afar, good for bombarding conjested area where there isnt much room to move around, strong damage dealer, deadly in large amounts with the proper support and short range units, etc.

All of them could be fun but must be careful when using to make sure they dont become overpowered "God" weapons

I would think these would fit more as Mantis than player ships!

Mantis Bombardier

This ship is efficent in both destroying static targets such as buildings, but also smaller moving ships. It's powerful Plasma Artillery Cannon is capable of firing shells far longer than the range of most conventional weapons, and is also capable of piercing any shield. However, the Bombardier is slow, and is easily defeated in close battles.

Equipment:

- Plasma Artillery
- Very Slow Repair Droid
- Perforator (Always on, and invisible)

Features:

- Slow Speed
- Low Armor
- Will try to Keep largest possible distance form Player

I'm sure that the devs can do better than me though :)

No this could be the ship you get some on the Mobile Artilleries BPs from or if they r rares this drops them and the Rare Artillery Tech. Also, it has no aim it simply clicks an area it wants to drop fire a bomb on.

these are great ideas and really need to be added even if it is the system after drac.

just the artillery ship would add so much to the game and would really make certain places hard to attack. the mantis artillery could also be a building.

aye, a stronger artillery version that cant move thus is easy to avoid. Also, We must not give artillery lock on aim or it will become too strong, it is bombardment and bombardment doesnt have aim, it bombards the area of interest. Btw it would be neat in CQs to see clans with artillery attacking each other, 1st they bombard each other, then they charge... It would be very fun for sure.

It's like saying that a spaceship that is 300 meters long and fires lasers reminds you of the USS Enterprise...

Nice idea, but maybe only for mantis, because as a player ship you have to do stuff with it.

Well, if the artillery shot at where the target was (not the target),was slowish in projectile speed and was non seeking and had a small splash but big damage, that would work as a side weapon fairly easily

Precisly, If a target is not moving or is a building I'd say you could like have your bombardment "lock on" and bombard that area but definatly, its a slow, ranged weapon with a bit longer of a reload than a blaster. Splash Damage is definatly what it would do for sure :mrorange: if u where on a lyris sea it should make a tsunami or somthing where one hits the ground.

Btw Artillery Should NOT have the capablity to do critical hit. Damage is simply detirmind by how close the other ship is to where to Bomb hit the ground.

P.S. Maybe have it have a "Nuke" that has the longest reload of any weapon but destroys everthing within a certain range of it and damages all units within another range of it, the backlash is it destroys your allies too and uses massive amount of energy. Basically its like pure anti-matter with such force nothing close to it can escape (execpt for Conquest Ships which dont take damage from nukes)(CQ Ship with no Nuke damage is solely to keep it from becoming a God weapon that makes who ever finds the other guy 1st the winner sorta thing). :mrorange:

I think your idea is great, but a tsunami would costs lots of server space.

Lol true and you'd have to run or you yourslef might get caught in the tsunami. (imagine what it would be with a Nuke! :devilish: )
