Network Quality

I am sick and tired of dying because of poor network quality,i think its time SS you got your act together and fix the dam servers.

lol delloda got an intel i7 extreme quad core processor and 16gig of ddr3 2000 ram and 2 ati 5870 graphics cards and 50 meg optical broadband so unless you have spent 3500 pound on your computer then no you dont have a better pc than delloda lol, well its a lie delloda doesnt have that pc and connection haha but i do, and yes i get the bad connection as well

On a serious note, the poor network quality icon actually has nothing to do with lag or anything like that. It's an internal thing that hasn't really been explained to us properly. Tech dude just runs away when we ask about it. ^^

I am not a GM just an ordinary Pilot like yourself. I am also a Certified Netwok Engineer as well as being a Certified PC & Server Engineer with well over 28 years in the Computer Industry. I am also from the USA & connect to the European Server to play PG quite a bit as well as the US Server. Occasionally I do lag but nothing like what yall here moan & groan about & you wanna know why I may have lag? It is because of all the different hops that my Internet has to make - Not the Servers. What you people dont realize is that it takes many connections at various places to get to the server. True A Fibre Connection is great but did you know the the Fibre also connects to copper? Most copper stiil runs a Maximum 100 Mbps though Internally in a Data Center it may run at 1000Mbps or what is termed as Gigabit.
Stop your whining!!!!! When the server Lags you will definately Know it. Your comment here shows you know probably next to nothing about Networks or Servers. You may have the fastest Processor, Most Ram, Best OS, Multple High-End Graphics Cards & largest HD in your Sytem along with a so called Fibre Connection, but with all the hops you make to get to the servers to play is what is making you Lag.

My connection is a measly 5 Mbps as the graphics here show, Yet PG Runs fine for me 99% of the time

lol iv been networking and building pc for 22 years so dont rant at me what you think i do or dont know, i was commenting on the first persons post about his computer and internet connection being better and was making a joke of it too, i never said my pc or connection have anything to do with lag, and im sure since you are from the usa then your connection has got to jump through more of them hoops you keep going on about to connect to the euro server than my connection has to living in the uk so that whole hoop and connection thing is a total load of wet pants, there are ppl living in the same country as the servers that are lagging bad and they got none of your so called hoops to jump through. and if u know anything about copper connections and optical then you would know i would rather have 100 miles of no signal loss and no noise on my line with optical and then another 100 miles of copper wire then 200 miles of copper wire with all the line noise and signal lose, so still having so much optical and so much copper is still better than just copper

well to be honest..

i run a stream radio at the same time and thing run better..
log in goes a lot smoother with no errors..

my idea about this is that if u keep a contant line open to ur provider's server the pg can sort of piggyback ride on the stream signal.. sort to say..
u keep a line open to the provider all other signals have a easier run through..
as long as ur cpu can handle it it works ok.. i experience only lagg when the ram might a bit cramped by it but its not even that bad.

i get no weaksignals notice since i stream radio underneath..
i dont play with game sounds on i have to say.

maybe my logic behind this is not correct but hey it works for me..

i started doing this years ago when i was on wireless networks that were a bit poor.. to keep connectivity..
it sure helped a lot.
