I don't know about you, but I hate it to first grind blueprints for a weapon and then also grind cryonite to pay for it. And all those times you get the wrong blueprint, very frustrating.
I think I have a good solution for these problems called Modules.
What are modules? Modules can be installed on weapons to change their strength. An example:
In Gemini you now have 3 blasters + 1 rare (2 ancients I think), now you would first buy a Fusion Blaster. The weapon will not work, it needs modules. The available modules would be: Fusion Storm Module, Fusion Thunder Module and Fusion Tempest Module.
But these would have to be found first, after that you can just change the module on your weapon without any more cost, you pay for the Fusion Blaster, the modules afterwards would be free.
For Mizar it would be almost the same except you have a new fusion blaster, the Heavy Fusion Blaster which would have 4 modules for it, up to the Fusion Force Module.
Now the final feature it would have is combining certain weapons under the same module. Now we have many weapons which use the same technology and many different blueprints, these modules would combine these, there would only be 1 repairing module which would be used for repair droid, repair target and repair field (and repair turret). The same for stun, taunt (taunt, aggro beacon), damage buffers (attack charge and attack turret), shields (shield, protector) and bombs (aggro bomb, sticky bomb and mine-layer). Effectively lowering the number of blueprints, now a few modules would fit for many weapons.
