As im sure many of you know engineer ships are in constant demand iv one myself and specially on earth their is always someone looking for a mat, but whats to gain from matting someone just the gratitude from the other player persoanlly I think the engi should get a little more.

When a lvl60 ship pods its drops 514 cryo I believe, 50% of which can be collected and 50% which disappears for ever
why not when you get matted a precentage (say 25% for discussion sake) of either the pink or tthe cryo that goes forever is given to the engi as a kinda fee for going through alot of trouble to mat a person. It would be a great little bonus to the engis which if a person chooses as primary ship is hard to grind with.

Anyway would love to here your opinions and suggestions

Any cryonite at all sounds unfair to me (never made an engineer until I had all but the rare resurrect for the gemini x-engineer!)

I support this.. Engineers just save people and get nothing.. they should get a sum of the cry dropped by the player that the engineer has matted.

That says it all really more engis are needed and more are buying them everyday in sol. But smaller players are always needing them when I travel back and specially in gemini engis are needed to do missions but why would you buy one when its hard shpi to play in.

You buy it for its purpose, AS A SUPPORT SHIP! Nurrrrr..... That's why I didn't buy mine as my first ship, I bought it as a secondary ship, so I had a usable ship otherwise. The engineer is not meant to be some mantis owning cryonite sucking ally healing monster of madness, it's a SUPPORT SHIP. It aids people.... Aid... People... I have not found the need for an engineer in any system except Gemini, though they always come in handy. I do not see why it matters who plays as them, it is supply and demand, if there is a demand for engineers, people will supply engineers... If they don't, and you need one, you will, yadda yadda yadda. There is nothing wrong with the engineer class.

But the matting fee will make more people fly engies from time to time making people who are looking for engy with some bit of hope.. ask for an engie on earth: no one will respond.. put a matting fee, you will get some more engies to fly around.. and it can also be a cash maker, if someone is bored from grinding in his storm or something, he can also make some cry in his engie... Using common sense, if it was like "real and we were in space" why the heck would someone care to mat another if there wasn't something in return? I still support this idea..

Already been over realism only goes so far in another thread. I seriously doubt the devs care whether you fly it or not, it has no impact on their income nor the games playability. This serves no purpose.
