Materialized Invisible and FAR AWAY on Technitoria

So yesterday I'm on Technitoria doing a mission and got jumped by two Death Squads. My buddy gets podded - and after the 2nd fight my repair droid wasn't up to the battle and I get taken out by a couple of marauders left over from the squad. Ok. It happens.

Buddy hyperjumps back and mats me. But I'm not there. I mean literally. My ship is invisible to me. He tells me HE can see me, but I can't see me.

No. I didn't accidently press Alt End. And I can't fly in my invisible ship either. However....
The mantis could see me... those being the third death squad that shows up to take me out a 2nd time.
So.. here I am... I'm sitting in my pod watching cry from my first pod glitter - when my buddy comes over and mats me for the 2nd time.
When I materialize I DO have a visible ship but I'm nowhere near my buddy. He's not on my HUD map. I'm in a death squad panic with no health - YET AGAIN and I want my pod cry!
I bring up my targets and he shows up. When I click on him, he and my cry are on the other side of a couple of boulders. By the time I fight my way over only the 2nd pod cry is left... sigh.

What's up with this? We haven't been on Technitoria that long. Is this typical or is it a bug? Normally when I've been matted in the past I show up right next to my cry and the engi. I looked in the forum and couldn't find a similar problem. Has this happened to anyone else?

almost every time im matted, i end up quite far from where my pod was, but nothing as wierd as this has happened...yet.

Did happend to me in the moon when i forgot to repair when i podded i didn't see my own pod 0.o like a gm or something like that and i was with a engi it didn't see my pod...

When im matted i appear farther away from my cryo. when i head towards it i zoom faster than i ever saw a GM move. Other times when i am matted i cant move and my health is 0%. cant go to orbit or collect lost cryo. SPLITSCREEN PLZ FIX THIS!!!!!

but once i wanted to mat somebody, who was on same instance, i flew to him, and didn't see the pod ^^
the guy, who was near to the pod, said that there is one, and i saw this guy, but not the pod. ^^

But yours is even more strange.

this has happenned to me too, the invisible ship thing and the appearing far away from the pod. the invisible thing is pretty rare tho.

i only had the have the far away from where i was pod after i was mat and then i drive towards them in gm speed (maybe faster) and sometime its over half map away lol,about the invincible thing i only had that the engie coudnt see me when i got mat....

my story now,
it was pretty long ago tho...... i was on technatoria also (with engineer) when i podded and my mate mat me i could still see my pod + my ship is was flying in,
i could still steer my ship.....then i clicked on my own pod and my ship came to me and i matted myself xD...... ^^

i've had the mat and not able to move/do anything before. orbiting and landing usually solves it

when i am unable to move i cant even orbit. but its good when it occurs on red sunday, since when u pod again it solves it.

yeah, also about a tory that a pod was left on ob, and the player was already on sol, he got resurect in a sol ship on ob ^^

These pods has happened always as far as I can remember here at PG, and that goes very far back.
I have mat my pod and it will just vanish up into the air.
We call these ghost pods.
They were fixed in a patch way back, but it seems the total fix has never been concluded, and the ghost pods still continues to exist.
I am used to them by now, and I think I even will miss them once they manage to fix this for all. ^^ :mrorange: ^^
