Mantis sheild destruction

I have had a useful ability to kill mantis sheilds, even if i miss the mantis. one shot, the shield goes completely. it may just be on prosperous, but im not sure. the time doesnt matter, or the date. basicly i shoot at a mantis in my mizar ship, and even a missed shot completly removes their sheild. im not sure when this started it but i only realised a few mins before i posted this.

It does this now, Instead of hitting the shield, it goes through to make it look a little more realistic,

it doesnt go through the shield, it damages it. as in, the shield itself gets damaged even if i dont hit it.
