There is an ongoing project to repair a dam at Chasewater near Cannock in Staffordshire. Imagine the suprise when they drained the lake and found this. Storm found in lake.jpg

I know... i hate these story missions with timetravel... i end up on earth, present time in a ship i haven't bought yet... ^^

*gasp* unfair! the most exciting things we get in the lakes in stevenage are dead fish and shop trolleys! :mad:

And dont forget the cars neb, Bottom of fairland lakes they found a few cars lmao

I think there was also a bus at the bottom, and before you say anything yes it is very deep

There are many towns all over the world that have been cover by water due to the building of dams for power.
The latest I know of was in china. They flooded a valley and displaced hundreds of people.

Correction, the 3 Gorges Dam displaced millions of ppl, flooded most of the gorges by raising water levels 400 feet, and flooded many many archaeological sites. I studied this in my Engineering Ethics class. It even inundated several sacred temples as well as the (possibly) oldest village in China. Locally here we have flooded farms and roads for our reservoirs. I have seen the top of grain silos when the water levels drop in the mid summer months. ^^
