so ur saying that Lag can be caused if u have a computer with 208GB and internet with 100mbps?
208Gb of What? Hard Drive Space? The current Ram Max for a High-End PC (Usually a CADD Workstation) is 32 Gb & a 100Mbps Internet connection doesnt guarantee you that thruput on your PC. Also you need to look at the Fact that you do not have a "Direct" connection. There may be lots of hops (Connections between you & the servers with your connection to your ISP being just 1 of them.
Example: PC to Router > Nat thru the Router> Router to ISP> ISP to Internet BackBone> Internet BackBone to other ISP> ISP to Data Center > DC Switches to Routers> DC Routers to Server Switches> Server Switches to Servers - This example has 9 Hops going 1 way, any 1 of which may cause lag. Multiply that by 2 you have 18 hops & if any 1 of those connections drops a Packet of the data you will see lag
A PC NIC is either 10/100/1000 Mbs thruput but then you have half duplex, full duplex auto etc & unless you have a Gigabit (1000 Mbps) Router & Switch you are not fully able to use the 1000 Mbps setting on the NIC but default to 100 Gbps so that in itself would cause some lag. Also the actual System Bus Speed, Memory Speed, Processor & Video card play a big part
