ho do i not be colonial

ok i havent played in a long time so alot is different now. i cant do certain missions cause im still a colonial pilot. i need to know what mission it is i can take to not be colonial so i can do my story missions. i have gone to kalabesh to redo all missions and always get the message "there's a colonial pilot in your squadron please remove them and retake the mission" or something to that effect.

Go to starmap and look what planet says you have new story mission available.
Newest sm is on top on mission list always.

It looks as if the other two that posted replies did not read your post fully. to answer your question, when you begin the game you are a smuggler and there are missions only a smuggler can do. After you become a colonial pilot you can not go back and do the smuggler missions, trying this will give you a message that you have a colonial on board and the mission fails. If I am wrong I hope someone will correct this for me. I hope this answers your question.

You can do the missions but not in 1 of the 4 ships you get from the colonials, you can do it in a light transport(starter ship) and i think in the Phoenix,But if im correct you need low level equipment on it to

Because i did the new tourturial missions in a starter ship with sub standard equipment(Hope im right)

For all I know, and this can be changed a long time ago.

You should be able to do all smuggler missions solo,

Do you have a squad? Then get rid of it.

And maybe it's best to play the game from the start again. That might help.

well with the bp system the way it is now i wont give up my lvl 19 char wit 2 vega equips would take forever as non gold buyer to get em back and i havent looked into the antares missions yet to see if playable so will do that today. and i wasnt in a squad when i got that pop up saying there's a colonial in squad.

I see, well, first of all, go to lyris/aurora and pick up the colonial vega storyline that can be found here:

Anyway, if you are rank 19, you could have already been in the gemini system. But Antares would probebly be better.

You can already buy a rank 18 altought it takes some time to get so much cryonite and if you rank up to rank 20 you can install the best antares technology.

So I guess you need to finish the colonial storyline first (if possible). If not then contact a LGM or someone with high powers, I remember in the past that only Delloda or Sayyadin could finish your storymissions in a click.

you can not do the 10 first mission if you're a colonial, whatever ship you're using... this has been tested by me ^^

Since you didnt say if you was doing SM or WM, Either way you cannot do them in a Colonial Class Ship (Rank 10+) but if you changes to a starter or any Smuggler Ship with lower class gear you may be able to do them

He is saying he hasn't played for a long time, aka hes had a break, and probably done the Vega start mission on old times, before Vega update. That means he has been a colonial all time.

Only new pilots who sign up and made account after the remake of Vega, can play smuggler.

I suggest to you all to read better the first post.

You can progress as recommended in a previous post by going to the starmap and hover over Planets on Vega system to see where there is a new story mission available.

If you were here before Vega remake, you have no possibilities to become a smuggler, only way is to make a new account.

Sorry Astraeus, that has been tested, and doesn't work, anyone old player or passed those levels will not be able to return as a smuggler, no matter what ship and gear they use.
I have even tried with the new little starter ship. No way to do it.

Anyhow, this is something I would like to see changed, so it would be possible to do the colonial missions with the starter ship and gear, and no armor.
