[HINT] How to change keys for all ship's devices?

Pirate Galaxy has defined keys for all ship's devices. I've found that is hard to for me to use Scrambler or Aggrobomb when i fight because i always keep my left hand thumb on the Blaster (key 1) and use the right hand to control my ship by mouse. And when i switch to Storm ship i always use the Rockets instead of a Repair Droid. Pirate Galaxy don't have option to set your own keys for devices. But u can use tool like: MapKeyboard (http://www.inchwest.com/mapkeyboard.htm) to remap your keyboard.

i've changed to:


changes made: 5<->q, 6<->s, 7<->e and 8->`so when u push now 'q' u will use Shield, if u want to write 'q' in PG chat u have to push '5' and etc .

When u choose your favorite keys u have to use Save layout option.
If you want to return standart keyboard layout - use Reset keyboard layout option.
If your system password has letters eg.: 'q', 's', and 'e' remember to switch these keys to proper numbers, if u don't do that u will not login to your Windows account

I'm happy I dont need that.
I use WASD to movement and I can move and shoot pretty well same time. If i have to shoot more than move then I use mouse for movement and left hand for weapons buttons.
Some times I even go that far that i move, shoot and pick targets (TAB) only with left hand (handy if you have phone to answer for example)

if i not fight and have to fly long way i use only key 'W' to fly forward and RMB + mouse moves to change ship (camera) flying directions, when i'm fighting i use only mouse - in my opinion ship quicker react on mouse moves and give better precision than using WASD (i was using only them in Quake 1 long time ago)


but it will be nice if we will have define own keys in game - maybe in next updates
