Just found this shocking news: http://www.hi5.com/friend/newhi5.do

"Games and Applications: We're releasing new social games where you can play together with your friends and make new friends too! Current hi5 games and applications will be discontinued at the end of February. We will be working with the game makers to help you play these games on other sites. "

What will happen to us?
Please HELP!

I play on the hi5 aswell and seems i will lose the profile.. so sad.

I am play this game in browser from hi5 too I got the same problem and i worote to suport and they sentme a tiket on a helpers page this don't solve nouthing

HI5 has always been a stupid site. I deleted my account years ago.

But this should not be an issue. I was programmer in the last 6 years and I can imagine that this could be easily fixed. All developers need to do is edit the accounts of the HI5 users a very little. First - PM application should have some account access to the HI5 account, which is at least the email as the most important ID for me. All that's left to be done is to change the credentials to use a new username. Their current HI5 username could be duplicated with an existing PM username, so using the email string as a username is the perfect way until a better solution is found. Then the user should be forced to change his password in order to get rid of the HI5 credentials and job done.

Sure I can imagine it could be much more complex than that, depending on how the code is organized, but this is the first that comes to my mind as a workaround. Should not take much time to do it. One SELECT to the database would give you all HI5 users and you can mass-mail them asking to change their credentials via link in the email or they will lose the account.

This is not a coding Issue. It is an Issue that Hi5 needs to resolve - The more pilots who post reports to their support system, the faster we may have more info on the situation. As of now, we have no further info to post, but as soon as we know something we will let Hi5 players know

ummm this is my last day before Hi5 closes all games down including PG. :cry:
An answer would be very nice, really, please!

It's very sad indeed...

it's even more sad, that the people of PG apparently not even wanna give peace to mind to all those hi5 players, you can't tell me that splitscreen didn't saw this 1 comming.
Splitscreen should be wise and good in this and start acting customer friendly, place there hand over there hearts, as we the customers using and playing this game , deserve to my opinion some more service towards us... in this case , the best thing splitscreen in my opinion can and should do is:

PM those involved and make or switch a newly easy made account of splitscreen itself and transfer all the account details over to that 1. ... this will give those players peace of mind, they will be going to continue playing this great game of PG, or think about the bigger consequences when instead they will not come back and we loosing them.

don't let al those hi5 players who play PG swim in a big ocean and leave them to drown, throw them a life line and make it happen that you stand for service, stand for your players and make it happen they continue where they are now...

believe me you will be making those players happy , and you know what the fraze is:

"a happy customer is a repeated customer"

True, now now i cant play the hi5 stopped changes doing now and i haven't any answer for continues playing.
i sent befor a tiket to support in englich they answer in spanich:

Its not fer they got the fork and knife on the hand and dont wont give the possiblity for continus play in PG in outher wai i made outher accont and those accont go to jail from astraeus. Now i cant play if that inssue continues I will abandon completly this game.

We have No New Information concerning Hi5 other than they are now called "TAGG". Any Account Issues need to be sent to their support.
