Rules.

Players can be anywhere on the planet except lz.
GMs have to get to The Carl Sagan Lab using speed 2 in any Antares ship.
Players can use any ship of there choice.
The player that pods the most GMs in 30 min wins 2000 Gold.
As soon as all GMs have reached the Lab the event is over.

Attention.

Pirate Mode is required & pilots are free to attack other pilots to get to a GM.
No Squads, No Teaming up. Squads & Teamers will be disqualified.

why not on askone server again???? why was the event a fail on askone and why will it be any better on the solaria server, why not make the event on the english server again but get it right this time instead of running off to another server. we hardly get any events anymore on askone and when we do get them they fail so you run off to another server?????, no no no make it work on the english server first like it was advertised then run off to another server, the german server get loads of events way more then we do on the english server, there is ether 2 reasons for this ether we have lazy gms on the english server that cant be bothered to put on events and the german server has active gms ( we hardly ever see you online setting up events kimbo and you are the lead gm, osrius was a busy lead gm but he always made time to make events for us) or just the germans are all round treated better. on another online game not saying any names with many less gms to there name and far more players playing it have 2 or 3 events a day not 2 event a month like on here

The event for Solaria was planned since earlier this week, the one on Askone was planned last night. The event on Askone got canceled due to technical difficulties that myself or any other GM could not fix and there for I decided to not put up a new event on Askone today. I figured you guys rather wanted an event that worked then an event that worked for 5 min and then kicked you out from the server. And I am online every single day, but maybe we are not on at the same time. Give me the times you are online and I will make sure to be there when you are. And regarding the events. I put up as many events I have the time for but remember I am not the only GM in Pirate Galaxy. Just because I am the Lead Game Master that dont mean that all the other GMs are powerless when it comes to events. All GMs are Authorized to make events (I only approve or disapprove them in those cases) so if you or any other player wants an event then feel free to come up with a good idea and send it to myself or any other GM from my Team. You say you never see me online putting up events etc. Almost all invasions & events is my doing. But since you are unhappy I will try my best to be online every minute I can spare. But dont forget that when you need me or want me to do something it is very easy to get in contact with me, Send me an pm here on the forum. I check my pm every 20th minute or so during all the day and most evenings.

I am the SGM on Solaria who plans the Events there. I was at the event on Askone this Morning & also saw it fail due to Technical Issues which Myself & KImbo tried in vain to find a work around for. We do know what the issue is & Kimbo has/is reporting it, but as for now we have no fix for it.

No-One just ran off to Solaria for another event. I have been trying to get that Event scheduled now for some time & finally did on Fri May 14, 2010 12:41 pm. The Event on Askone was thought up & scheduled Sat May 15, 2010 12:24 pm as a way to Congratulate a Pilot whose wife Just Gave him a NewBorn Child. What Happened at the event was unforseen by anyone who creates these Events, but will be corrected in Future Events. As hard as we try to get events that will appeal to all, there are times that things happen beyond our control. We try to schedule at least 1 event per week per Server (Askone & Solaria) but we need valid workable Ideas from You, The Pilots so we dont keep having the same events week after week.

Please post your Event Ideas as clearly as possible & we will try to make them Workable

im online alot too and only every really see trojen and astrix online, i know you gms have a life too out side of pirate galaxy and dont expect you online 24/7, if your married then your wife and kids would kick your ass if you was online all the time, iv not got a problem with the way gms help when a player has a problem, the gms here are very fast at sorting player problem out, but it would be nice to see more mini events even if its just a few more invastions, i work 8am till 6pm gmt and most invasion and mini events are before this time so i never see any

The reason we stopped doing invasions all the time is because every time we do an invasion there is alot of players complaining about it. So we stopped with random invasions to please you players and do as you wished. But if you request an invasion then sure I am more then glad to give you invasions Personally I think invasions is the greatest and coolest thing we can do and if I could I would have an 24/7 invasion going on once a week ^^ :mrorange: Imagine an 24 hour long invasion

I will make sure to set up an event on Baumar soon. But we cant however spawn any energy anymore.

Id just like 2 say, stop having a go at the Gms, I was at the event and was disappointed it didn't work, but these things happen, the Gms do a great job, they have 1 of the hardest jobs as they have 2 get events that appeal 2 everyone and need 2 be technically possible unfortunately this 1 didn't go the way they wanted it 2. You guys complain that we don't get enough events, and I agree it would be nice 2 see more events taking place. BUT with out the gms we will have no events and loads of bugs. The Gms have lives, they don't just switch off when they log off. And people say we hardly see them on, a gm visits each planet almost every day, and when they arrive they are more than happy 2 plant rare mantis and accept event ideas. Kimbo, Astrix, Portos, Trojan and all the other Gms who i have not had the pleasure to meet, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

lol for a start gms DONT fix bugs the devs do, and any gm can start an invastion its not hard to do its pre set commands they have so please before you rant away please get your facts right. most bugs are reported by players as well not gms. but i will agree the gms here are friendly and are for the best part a laugh and easy goin and fast to help with problems

Thank You kheldar125. It is Nice to hear we are appreciated :mrorange: ^^ Sometimes Technical Issues do prevent us from Having events to make you Pilots Happy However we do try. As for what Retro says, It is true, it is the Devs that do the Bug Fixing, But its the GM Staff that is in the Game that are the Devs Eyes & Ears.

Not any GM can start an Event & we dont run pre-set commands for Invasions or other Events as some may think. In Actuality we take time to plan, coordinate & schedule events so they are enjoyable by ALl Classes & Pilots. On top of all this we also like to listen to your Suggestions for Events, listen to your Bug Complaints, Spend time listening to you just talk. We also run the Missions that you complain about are bugged.

hears a few suggestions 1: have a cry collecting outbreak first one to 5000 wins 2500 gold 2: The hunt is on have a hunt on a specific type of mantis recommended amount 100-150 all who achieve this goal within the given amount of time will receive 10000 gold split depending on how many make it 3: Racing around the clock have a race course set with 2 laps starting point Landing Zone NO AFTERBURNERS ALLOWED to make it fair first 5 places will receive gold accordingly 1st place: 5000 gold 2ed place: 4000 3rd place: 3000 gold 4th place 2000 gold 5th place 1000 gold there will be a lot of mantis so try not to get killed 4: and final battling barbarians the players team up to battle GMS every GM takedown will count toward 100 gold for the group. 5: a grand prix any of the 3 events up above are selected in a specific order and the the top 3 will receive gold 1st place: 15000 gold 2ed place: 12500 gold and 3rd place: 10000 gold and each of the events will be held on different planets with 30 min breaks between each one 6 months should be put between each grand prix well that's all for now ill inform you guys of ideas as i come up with them

Like defacto said, these are fairly good ideas but the rewards are a bit high, I doubt that those sort of rewards would be considered.

I personally think there should be an event planet where the gm events are hosted, only available when an event is taking place. This would stop those people who do not want to be caught up in an invasion to not have to go there. (I remember doing a sm and finding the mission objective in the middle of an invasion site LOL) There could also be larger e balls programmed in for the planet.

May I suggest that when you post your suggestions for events, forget about the rewards,
let Kimbo handle that part.

Usually the rewards suggested are out of hands and not applicable.
If you have ideas of Events what is really the question in this thread, please post.
There has been some very nice ones, but when you keep on reading, and come to the reward part,
at least I loose the interest in that suggestion, I might not be the only one that happens to.
