Game Update April 13, 2021

Between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM UTC+2, the game servers will restart for a game update to be deployed.

General
  • The Conquest help window will now open atop other windows and dialogs.
  • Fixed zone transition black frame flash in loading screen.
  • Fixed interpolation bug in the framework that caused multiple visual issues like camera jumps etc.
  • Sped up several zone transitions (fly to orbit, to hangar etc.).
  • "Active pilots" label in Conquest help window's Active Pilots Bonus graph is now translated into the currently selected language.
  • The label "due" in the Cryonite assignment dialogue window was reworded to "eligible" to clarify that it is not referring to a date or time.
  • Reduced idle range of planet spawned units to not be able to pull the units to far away from their original spawn area. This is making them to retreat earlier.
Missions
  • Fixed Draconis mission "The Mantis Queen" which was affected by a bug that caused it to not be completable.
  • Fixed Sirius mission "Rescue the Base"; Colonial forces who were previously just waiting for their death now return fire.
Camera
  • Improved camera interpolation when switching to the user controlled camera after a zone transition.
  • Adjusted near clipping distance for orbit & hangar to allow better zoom-in without clipping.
  • Adjusted the allowed max zoom-in distance to not intersect into the ship mesh.
  • Ensured that the ship size only affects max zoom-in instead of max zoom-out for keeping behaviour consistent between ships.
  • Enabled that the camera height can be raised further to allow angles exceeding 45°.
  • Slight overall increase of camera zoom out distance.
Game Stability
  • Attempt to fix possible client crash when opening the ladder window.
  • Fixed potential client crash issue that could be caused by certain UI elements.
  • Fixed potential client crash issue when opening UI dialogs.
  • Fixed bug in resource cleanup interval which was set to 30 seconds instead of 30 minutes, causing regular in-game stutter.
  • Fixed leak in the visual effect node tree resulting in higher cpu load over time and game crashes (Pirate Galaxy is not using this system much = minor effect).
