Hello!

Here's a tiny summary about the event so far:

Pros:
- New mechanics, nice.
- New kind of enemies to deal with, nice.
- New ship, (nice design), double nice.
- New ship has a meta combination (aim-computer / long-range), super nice.

Cons:
- The new sparkling effect when the ship is damaged. (No, seriously, it would be a good effect for a mobile game, but not here)
- The new ship doesn't have one of the fundamental components, the afterburner.

Debatible:
- The amount of raven credits to unlock the mission for the new ship is quite "out-of-range", also, the fact that it misses the afterburner, the resistance is normal, and the speed is similar to the black granite, and due that the event this year is more difficult than normal due to the new enemies. This will make some users to back off from buying it / complete it via event, most of the veterans will only purchase it to test it, and if they don't like it either, only the collectors will buy it, as for the archivable way.. if it happends, one thing you guys could consider is to expand the event time, so this way, more people could have more time to adapt to the new enemies, find new strategies to kill them in the right way, and improve sales (we all know that most of us usually end up buying the remaining bps when we see that there's not enough time for it, thats why im saying this). Anyway, all of that is debatable, its just my point of view in comparison with the other raven events that we had so far.

-Others:
Everything else which is not mentioned is also nice.

Best regards!

Thanks for your detailed feedback.

The sparkle effect was a side effect for the scaling fix for the damage visuals. After today server restart it should look better now.

Completely agree with the number of credits needed for the new ship, maybe a good solution is increasing the event time or just decrease the credits needed. Also, the missing skill makes it a ship to only play in a group (basically someone has to carry you over the planet), it doesn' have any resistance/speed extra bonus to get rid of and explore planets safely if solo.

Also, something I missed is that not everyone has all raven ships. And would be good to have another event to unlock the remaining ships.

Everything else with the event is fine, enemies and challenge changes made a better experience and fun when playing it.

About the event:
- I was scared when i saw 633 signets, but it took me only half a day to get to that point, while it used to take me several days to unlock the first mission on previous raven events, so why not, you can actually see your progress.
- New units and new raven challenge are fun, even though the R62 TC units are really though compared to snipers/rocketeers.

About the ship:
- Well i don't have it yet but seeing the items it will be a very good farmer for R4, SB and turret should allow it to solo R5 CUs without much effort. And SB + AC... critmaggeddon incoming :devilish:
- From what i've seen it's tougher than an obsidian, which is already tougher than a parsec, which is tougher than a disruptor, so i'll wait to have my hands on it but i think it should do fine in this regard. Especially with a repair turret.

The Paragneiss is not a ship that is usually without the afterburner, this niche shipclass is like a Defender on steroids. You need to take more care of your positioning, because you cannot escape difficult situations without gravitons. This shouldn't be a first ship of a player that discovers Sirius or any other star systems, see this ship as wildcard for closing off a certain area. The sniperblaster allows you to not move far away from your repair field turret and clumb up even more units to feed them with lightning chains and rockets.

{Sirius ring 4}
Depending on the enemy type you are battling, you can even engage (with a back-up repair field turret) 3-5 units at the same time, the long repairdroide and the long repair field turret are helping you to sustain during this battle. Use those already at the beginning of your fight and you will easily recycle your next repairdroide. During the duration of the long repairdroid, you will be able to kill 1-2 units (depends on which units), which will let you sustain more and the god armor of this majesty is hard to scratch to death, since it is supported the hole time by the repair field turret. Your AoE damage of the rocket + lightning chain will even weaken down the other enemies that you didn't even target lock on, which grants you faster follow up kills. Combine this ship with Ifrit-cortex and you can run in and out of your repair field turret to keep the 25%-damage bonus for a loooooong time. No other ship class can solo extend the duration of the cortex as long as the Paragneiss. The Defender has a repair field turret too, but he has no constant dps and maybe even a weaker armor (we didn't test armor values yet).

{Sirius ring 5}
I opened a fight against two abasis at the same time, like described in the upper text, I sustained the dps of both easily and was even able to recycle the next repairdroide without any probleme. The health that the second (unfocused target) Abasis had left after killing the first one was at ~76% (rockets and lightning chain). The clear speed of the first one was maybe not faster than a disruptor or punisher, but those two can't handle so easy two abasis at the same time, they would need to kite the hole time, wasting a lot of dps.
We will test soon how easy the soris will die to this monster and how fast a group of Paragneiss clear a bunch enemies in 5th ring.

{Mantis Hive}
Insane destruction with Sirius or Perceptron tech... awesome gameplay and you are as wide as a harvester.

I also plan on doing a guide on youtube to showcase the full solo and group potenial. :D

I dont know about others who buy the ship, but ppl doing actually this event without boosters it cannot be done, or it need use tons of gravs and 24/7 farming.

1. ravendynamics planet, getting signets like 100 of them need like 4-6hours, it is way over ppl will play/daily. again no chance to get even 1k whole event time.

2. the first mission.
Have the developers tried it with sol normal ships/tech??? it cannot be done, or it can, using gravitons maybe. but try it, you will be surprised how hard it is.

sorry about this rant, but 2 days trying do different compositions the mission, only way do this is try was with someone having new ship only that worked.
This is not balanced well, event is on sol, it should be doable with sol tech, but no way. you need have all sirius tech and new ships.

I hope someone will agree with me and give feedback about this, to they rebalance this.

For the challenge, all my active clanmates have already unlocked the mission A. In squad, with no booster and no membership, if you can regularly reach W7, it should take around 12 hours, which is less than what i needed on last event to get to mission A with both membership and signet booster. With membership and 150% booster it roughly takes 4-5 hours to unlock the mission B.

One you have the mission A, you can grind it for signets, without booster it is 10 signets in a bit less than 10 minutes. You will need someone with membership tho, because to get the signets you need to fly back to DY's orbit. If you only want the poenari you can stay on Mars. If you do the mission A fast enough (~9 minutes to avoid the first big waves of assailants), or if you farm on Mars mantis between waves, you can do it alone with no membership with a full golds stam-x and some good drones.

The mission B is then perfectly soloable as well with the same ship. On the escort phase, the transporter has stronger damage output than you, you just have to aggro the assailants when it is cooling down or to take them far enough that they forget the transporter and go back to their spawnpoint and let him do the job. For the 4 waves once the ship is docked, they spawn on your location, not the transporter's one and the next wave won't spawn until you have cleared the previous one. So take your time, refill energy if needed, grab the assailants one by one and you're done.

I grinded everythong with a full-ancient sniper, but for the purpose of testing i also ran the challenge and the missions with a full gold one. You can still kill w4 and everything but the boss at w5 on the challenge, and you can still solo both missions if you take the time to "choose" the most adequate spots. The most important parts are to find a squad for the challenge so you can reach higher waves and get signets faster, and to find someone with a membership to get back to DY if you grind signets on the mission A.

1. The reactor challenge: For this I used sol sniper with full ancient tech. Spaceball, speed and cooldown drone.

Without gravitons, I got to wave 5 solo but failed killing vlad(the boss).
With gravitons I beat wave 5 solo and had 4 mantis left on wave 6 before reactor was killed.
The time and effort into reaching wave 6 vs wave 5 is not really worth it in terms of signets per hour.

If you are in a squad with no membership, keep 1 mantis alive for each round to refill energy and heal the turrets. Yes it takes longer to complete each time, but you will progress further and the signets reward will increase significantly at higher waves. Whats good about using sniper is that you can keep range and still hit mantis without them hitting you. Using each ship to its full potential is also essential when you want to climb to higher waves. I was in a squad that reached wave 15 and we had only 1 with membership. The ships we used were 1 obsidian and 4x sol sniper. It is possible to reach higher waves without membership if you dont rush and take your time. But I agree that the credits needed to unlock miss A is a bit high.

2. Mission A: This mission can be done solo. I done it solo without the use of gravitons. But I had membership.
For non membership players: Refill to max before each mission and it should be enough to finish the mission. Also killing low lvl mantis for blueprints between each wave of mission mantis will help you keep the energy up. I found the spot to the right of landing zone(on map) as the best one. Distance to lz around 3000, and less mantis in the way of the transporters. Just clear them out between waves(usually 1crit or 2 normal shots to take each of them out(marauders/pyro/sniper/detonator)
I tried to build both 2 and 3 mines before spawning transporters. I tested it and found out that building 2 mines makes it faster as long as no transporter gets killed. When you at 70%+ bigger waves will start spawning. Once the last transporter is close to lz a big wave will spawn. Here you can just ab out and wait for update of mission. When capsules are down you can just kill them and the mission will update once more and then it does not matter if they destroy the buildings. Grab the blueprints if needed and orbit. Then its the long travel to raven-planet to complete it for signets. For non membership players I think the travel is way too long, sometimes its close to 15 minutes!!

3. Mission B: This mission is even easier than mission A. I fount that travelling to spot bottom left of map is shorter and less mantis/ds in the way of the transporter. Here you will only need 2 or 3 stops before reaching the spot. When it start to burn the first time, I scanned it right away. The mantis spawned when it was 10 sec or less, then you just stay ahead no need to distract them as they wont damage it that much each time.
When the burn starts the 2nd time I usually let it burn 3-5 times depending on if you can reach spot before hitpoints of transporter is depleted. If 3 or less burns you will need 1 more stop before entering area, to prevent the spawned mantis to follow it to spot. Once you reach the spot; Each wave will spawn on your location and not the transporter. This means you can stay away from transporter and let them spawn on you, giving you the chance of using afterburner out of area when needed. They will then just go back and forth at the spawning point if you took aggro of all of them. Another wave will not spawn until last enemy of each wave is killed. Just take your time here for each wave and make sure all items are ready for each new wave. Repeat same process each wave and the mission will be just another joy ride. And the same applies to this mission, the never ending travel to raven-planet...

To sum it up, the reactor event is good and challenging, and also doable for non membership/non graviton users. The skills/patience and mix of players/ships is more essential for reaching higher waves then membership or gravitons. The missions are fine as it is I reckon. Seeing it is soloable for non membership players as well as membership players. There is no actual need for gravitons in these missions. The only problem with the mission for non membership users is the long travel. Fix the long travel for future events and it will be less tedious in making progress for signets :D

Best regards Razzorkill

mission a is im talking about.

for 10min? including selecting best spot?

i take mission 5-10 times to get on right spot it consumes alot time. also when you land 5 times the client start to lag so you need restart it and more time will consume.

only drone i use is armor drone, no boosters, no gravitons.
i can get 90% but at that point i need to be out because no repair and mantis will kill the base.

Mission A would be a lot better if they reduce the number of TC mantis spawns or just endurers not being too tanky or nukey
