I keep having a "connection error" meaning I cant play or even log into the game. it just says
"online service currently unavailable, please try again later or visit our forums for more information"
I tried un-installing and re-installing and it did nothing

It's undergoing a server shutdown. It's the same for everybody, the problem isn't at your end.

I feel very annoyed that its not anywere ive been looking. and i wasnt notified so been searching for ages to fix it

No idea when it will be back, been off for hours now so I guess it shouldn't be much longer to wait. I'll tell you when it's back up.

it would be nice if someone would put a notice up saying that the servers will be down for several hours. its a good way to lose potential new players from joining the game. when they think its not online anymore.

They do. But only when you're playing before the server shutdown. It says, as you're playing, 'Attention, servers will shut down in x minutes'. Other than that, it's hard to tell what the problem is.

Well its not hard to post on the forum and on the website. server down for updates, expected back up in ... mins.

if you want to know the status of the server go to http://en.pirategalaxy.com/game/server-status it lets you know the status of all the servers

It doesnt give you ideas of times though. so means it wastes your time.
This game is kinda amateurish. Cant even get someone to write a post for updates. not good customer service.

I notice that the server status on the main page for Aeria is listed like all is well...but I can't get into it either...just sits for minutes. I suspect this is related.

Sux too as I actually got up early today for the sake of getting a couple of hours in before work :frown: oh well.

Is thing game dead or something? I mean cmon.. servers are down and u are not able to know that or why for hours or when will be back online... just because someone is lazzy to post us some basic infos??????? Why this forum is so useless with millions of posts where u are losing urself in locked threads and useless ones, noone can actually do something right around here ? Why there is no patchlog yet for PirateGalaxy_1001225 version from May ? One word .. incompetence.

But servers have been online for 30 min and all i get is endless loding.

honestly it aint worth getting mad about because everyone who has played the game for a while knows the servers go down for mantinace once a week on wed and if you goto the pg site they usualy let you know and i think they are havin an issue that is blockin everyone from gettin on so chill out relax and find something else to do untill they can fix it

Yeah I get that too sometimes. You'd think they would let us know the estimated time for them to finish.

Just because it allways happens doesnt make it right.
Crime allways happens, does that mean we should not care about stopping that aswell?
I know its more extreme but still a valid point
