Draconis Bottleneck and the Same Old Grind

By the way, about this whole stuff and changes we are on about in this thread.

I can tell you one thing, people that left the game and came back, you are loosing them fast.
Cause of the changes they leave even faster then they came in to check the game out again.

And i mean the guys that payed good money for your boosters and stuff.

One look at the prices and the amount of bp's you have to collect and they're gone. And i know cause i was trying to get some of my friends back in again. Badkarma84 for example.

Amazing, so it is not allowed to vote or post a url were people can vote? I didn't know that.

I am just thinking about the word for a 'government' that uses 'authority' in this manner.

It might have something to do with "inciting aggression towards SS policy". I think I recall reading somewhere in "rules" that you are not meant to do this.

Maybe the vote thing is seen as a form of aggression?

Though I don't think there is anything wrong with ones opinion about various game aspects.. so I am not sure.

It's not my intention to be agressive.

I merely want to point out that the endless grinding is annoying.

And the cause of this endless grinding is the ridiculous prices in especially Draconis. Exactly what this topic is about.

It causes :

- struggle for grinding spots
- people getting bored
- driving away people who used to play (and PAY!) discouraged by the amount of cry needed to get on

A vote that shows how people think about this is an excellent way to tell Dev's where they could improve something in a manner that players ( and PAYERS) like.

In almost every company i ever worked for, we asked customers on a regular basis their oppinion on how to improve our service and what aspects ouf our product they liked and disliked.

So, actually, Dev's / GM's / Company should do this research themselves, not players.

When u consider voting as a form of agression, then there is something seriously wrong.

SS never ever listen to us players, they never have and never will, they are all far too busy with there new failed game steal legions, the forum over on that game is very active with devs and other members of splitscreen staff, this game is dying simple as and like little kids SS have given up on this game cos they lack the skill to take it to the next level, they are just milking us now, SPLITSCREEN do us all a favour and sell this game to a real games company that knows what they are doing, that know how to run this game,

I tihnk you got a point, especially about steel legions. I think that SS is getting their hands full with their current game developing frenzy. IMO they would be better off focusing on one game (PG) and make it good.

Now I shall explain why so many players got parsec so fast, they grind more then ever before, 6+ hours a day getting 60k cryo, if the old cryo drop would be there i would make that much in 3 hours with out any Ultimate membership, cryo drop rate is a joke, I make less in draconsi then i do at lower system, why can't the devs just make the cryo drop 2 times mroe then it does not, we would then forget lower systems, and still make 20k in 1 hour >.< everything is a joke from bp, to cryo, ppl even help less! players selling ships to get 1 draconis ship >.<



can't not SS do something to make us players happy >.<?

I am not sure anymore what to say or not. It is not my intention to insult anyone. Not Splitscreen as a company or any one else.

The topic is clear : Bottleneck

A lot off people are not satisfied with the amount of time needed to get somewhere in this game.
The amount of cry needed to get stuff in the game is nothing more then time needed to get it.

Bye changing the system you are spliting the players up in groups.

Group A > Players who can spend the time needed to play the game properly, so who can grind endlessly for the cryonite and the rare BP's. In this group there are the people who do spend money on this game mainly.
With time and money your good in here. And a certain attitude to repetative stuff.
These pay your bills probably. In draconis it is almost impossible to play the game without somekind of membership. Or massive help from other players finding stuff.

Group B > Players who cannot spend money but have time enough. They will go slow. Just keep raising the cryonite amount needed for ships and equippement. And lower the drop rate even more. Or, really clever, make bp's in even more bits. Anything to slow it down. In the end they will drop out.

Group C > Players who have money but not the enormous amounts of time to get all this cryonite. Or just not the stamina to sit there and shoot the same thing endlessly for some rare bp in 19 odd bits.
Now, a Rare is a Rare. Ok. But with all the achievements u put in there, you cannot escape it anymore. it's a 'must have'. For achievements, for Pvp, for fighting mantis on Hyve. The differnece between normal stuff and rare stuff is more and more noticable. So, you need it. It is not a rare anymore like before. if it dropped. it dropped, if not ok also.

Now the last group is the group where you are gonna loose players and MONEY. If you keep this pressure on time consuming grinding. Let the people who CAN , PAY for stuff and that will also be some relief for the bottleneck-problem.

Do not go on making this a game for the very little group of people that have endless time for online games.
Keep it a good mix. They will leave with the non paying players.

MMOG's get their money from 6 % of paying players. But you need that other 94% to keep it a place the payers want to be in. You are splitting up and making the difference to big.

couldnt have put it better myself, will splitscreen listen thou lol i think we all know the answer to that thou as it seems all the devs are too busy on the steal legions forums to ever bother with this game, but the really sad thing is this game is 100x better than steal legions and if the devs wake up they can easy make this game the best mmorg on the net, PLEASE DEVS WAKE UP AND GET WITH IT, lol what im i saying as if they are reading this hahahaha

Well I know one thing. I will never get into one of SS games again. So steel legions? it will be exactly like this in the end.

And in the meantime I see how this bottleneck works.

- Players grinding with draconis ships on mars, one shot killing harvs, making it impossible to grind normally in a sol ship. Constant battering over spots to grind on mars / moon. Thank you Devs. Wonderfull.

- Draconis ships to weak to grind on Hyve. Ha u connot even kill a harvest on your own on hyve. Not only because they are to strong and shoot back, they managed to cramp them in with several other mantis. Thank you again. nice game where u constantly have to wait for others to join. Nice and playable.

- Draconis mantis take to much effort and time to kill. So indeed the amount of cry that drops is higher. But it is still no use grinding there because it simply takes to much time to kill them. Thx great.

- lookin for rares on hyve alone ? Yes that is for the few players that fly in Parsecs etc.
